information sharing..
I remember someone have asking the air-con is not cool and FC starting high for his persona. I got this experience before, 3 months car air-cool not cool really WTF.
Then I send the car to the air-con service shop (not proton SC lah)..luckily I know the tauke and he told me this is a small problem..not a air-con problem is the filter dirty only with many dust in the filter.
He teach me how to take out it and wash it with water. After that install back it. Wah…total change just turn a bit the air-con then fell cool already and FC back to normal RM0.15-RM0.175 per km….
The filter is in front passenger sit below the dashboard . You all can DIY it…but carefull when put in back (60 degree put in not 90 degree) hope you can understand it..90 degree you are cannot slot it the filter....

yeah...unless they change the engine to cps..then different story...adding new side skirts and so on will add extra weight and aerodynamic to the car,so FC might slight different be different from current models...haha..

btw..here is my latest FC for 44k mileage and manage to travel till 387km until light on: laugh.gif
Model:2007 non-iafm,automatic
Driving conditions:60%city with jam 10-20mins,40% highway (federal+straight roads)...
Speed/Gear Change: 80-120km,gear change at 2.5/3000rpm
Petrol:Esso RON95
*
hi loong 2020..
petrol RON95 Esso or mobil may be give better fc to persona. no petronas for persona agina for me. also another this is may be you engine oil (5W-40W) also can give better FC and pick up to the car.
after the 10k service, i can feel it when change the engine oil to 5W-40W.. 4.2kRPM in 150 KM/H.
120Km/h -140KM/h is below 4k RPM. good pick up in this speed.
now is measuring my FC which the the new engine oil.

haha...yeah esso/mobil ron95 is good and im using 0w40 engine oil...maybe improve the FC slightly..la.......pickup,fc all in 1 package brows.gif ......update us with ur FC...and as mileage increases, the FC will slowly improve.... maybe urs might be better since its IAFM model...mine is the 1st batch non iafm model...so could be slight different... what engine oil u using?? shell? 5w40 i assume is fully-sync rite??......stick to fully sync if u can cause it will protect the engine much much better compare to semi/mineral..so in long term, the engine will last longer and probably 150k on clock still ok brows.gif .....
*
last time i dun believe esso/mobil ron97..and i alway go to shell, but when ron95 come out and i try one by one...finally i found that esso/ mobil is give me good fc...

yar..sure i will update soon. my one is IAFM model M-line manual, currently my result is rm60 can go 380km-400km 70%-80% highway 20%-30% town. speed in highway 120km/h -150km/h distance is 150km...
hope it can go to 420km for rm60 soon... i'm current using castro edge 5w40. how aobut you? and what is this price for your engine oil?

why i'm say plan use semi and change it every 5k?
we know full-syns can go until 10000km..but no advice due to two reason for me,
1st is we need fews months to get 10000km around 8 months (8*1200km/ per month) so i'm not sure what will happen to the engine oil In this period, the oil quality and performance to the engine.
2nd. is the engine oil in X temperature....the proton engine is advice use 20w-50w but we use 0/5w -40w...if you use the engine oil in the engine with X temperature + malaysia env with long time period, may be will cause your engine low performance due to 0/5w -40w cannot in to high temperature. except we change the engine oil in 8000km or 9000k not 10000km.

semi/sync...can go to 7500km but if we change it in even 5k, the engine should be more protect and clean.
also compare cost. may be semi/sync more save compare fully-sync

Full feel command my idea if I’m wrong.

well alexliew...at 1st i dont really like to pump esso when it was still RON97...and i pump bhp/shell most of the time......but now, decided to give it a try and was not bad afterall.... laugh.gif ..collect points and you can redeem it for petrol later on... brows.gif ....im currently using mobil 1 0w40 around rm200plus and my impression was the oil gives you smooth acceleration and feels lighter..... semi-sync or fully-sync is up to your own preferences.. if you use fully-sync then change the oil filter every 5-6k and topup a bit to continue using until 8-10k..not to mention fully-sync oil can withstand heat, last longer as the addictives/oil wont break down as fast compare to mineral/semi...for those frequent highspeed drivers and always speed, fully-sync will protect the engine better.... as for semi-sync, it contains mixture of up to 30% of FULLY-sync oil and the rest are mineral...and if you are interested in semi-sync for your next oil change, why not try out Mobil Super 2000/ Q8 semi/ Enoes (10W40)......these oils are not bad which give good acceleration and maybe lower FC.... brows.gif
*
loong, You idea also not bad, change the filter in 5k-6k and top up the engine oil.
Woh,,,mobil 1… I also plan for this engine oil. I can get mobil 1 5w-40 in rm170 but hard to get 0-40w…may be is lass people use or price is high…
Anyway…let monitor it fast…I still have 9k more for next service…still have long to for me to decide semi/full…
mobil super 10w-40 tesco price is rm77...may be i can try it in my wira....
