while on the FM mode.... "press the mode button and hold it at the same time until there is a beep+display show (AUX INPUT)"..there you go
*
When u press/hold the "Mode" long enough u will notice it will indicate Aux on/off...

haha...no problem....yeah....the smoothness not as good as honda/toyota....but its also relate to the engine also....if you say normal gearbox...then why altis dosent have any jerking when shifting, its much much smoother and engine is well refined.... brows.gif and yeah blm jerking is cause by aircond kicking in.....heard by frm other forum...so our persona should be allright...and my non iafm unit not really noticable as urs iafm unit right???..maybe there is slight tuning on the engine..

that the different of M made & J made...cant expect too much, even the branch manage say " Please hor, dont expect too much from proton..." haha... My is IAFM, if got chance will try another units. just to double confirm it.

Mine just goes from CD-Radio-CD. M Line BTW. What is yours?
*
To enable AUX you have to press the mode button on your steering for 3 / 5 second to disable or enable. try it.

suggest you to put this pressure
front 210(31psi)
rear 240(33psi)
that's what i put
*
Thanks for the advice. No thanks to Proton, say 1 thing but do another.

if you put as the Proton recommendation,i feel the ride is more comfort and silent.but don't worry too much as if it around 30-33 PSI should be fine but 40 PSI,way too much.
*
Thanks for the advice. So many of you with this recommendation can't be wrong. I can only presume Proton or their suppliers purposely over inflate the tires of the new vehicles to prevent them from deforming due to prolonged storage. I understand the tires of vehicles that are stationery for long periods of time will go out of shape.

Went to SC this afternoon to fix 4 problems under warranty.  I get the car only tomorrow.

Also someone has been asking whether the keyhole light can be made to illuminate.  I asked SC and I can confirm that it cannot be made to illuminate.

*
Got the car back yesterday

This was my original problems:

1. Famous Persona klunking noise
2. Famous aircon rattling noise
3. Radio buttons on steering gone haywire
4. New tick tick sound (from steering column perhaps?)

Here are the results after a few hours of test drivings

1. 99% settled. Extremely minor (or was it my imagination?) klunking noise while cornering
2. 90% setlled. The rattling till today cannot hear but the annoying click still there though less frequent
3. 100% settled. Back to normal. Dunno when it will fail again.
4. 0% settled. Tick tick tick tick as usual. Can't seem to find the blardy source!

currently using Primax 95 so far so good and not bother to use Shell 95.I think it suck.I didn't have the chances yet to try others brand.Btw i think my Persona is already lowered when compared side by side with a Waja.I though the ride is quite height when looking on the internet.

somehow reading this thread turned me into an immune persona owner...i noticed after a week my car manage to fulfill all the expected "bonus"...i mean, i even have this virtual checklist in my head regarding the rattling, "kok"ing, hissing, etc; and as of now almost all item are checked...

and the interesting part is i don't even bother to find the source of all the extra noises...

mix, Shell + Esso Synergy + Caltex = cool2.gif icon_idea.gif

using shell ron95 from the start...i might say it gave a decent power to my persona...haven't tried any other fuel brand...changing it to ron97 didn't give me huge difference to the performance...planning to maybe try v-power just to feel the "power"...don't know why but petronas never made into my list

Thanks for asking guys. Unfortunately when I collected my car the foreman was nowhere to be found, much to my disappointment, so I am unable to know how he solved it.

But I did ask him to open the blower and remove whatever foreign object there is. Or perhaps some nut and washer was loose and need tightening.

I 'm crossing my fingers but I'm expecting some of the noises will come back soon, perhaps with new noises along too.
