QUOTE(Amras of Nargothrond @ Oct 20 2009, 08:56 AM) I believe this issue faced by most of the Persona owner who bought the car before May 2009. My car also facing metal klonking sound when turn to the right hand side on an uneven road, you won't get the sound if you turn left, unless the hole is big or the road is very uneven. i bought on sept 2009..my car hav this issue..tat mean ur fren are lucky...or the problem will coming soonnnn... I asked the Cheras SC on my first 2 services, their department head told me, it was caused by the metal power steering hose, can't be solved, he said no solution from Proton Headquarter. Then on my 3rd service, I took my car to Damansara 3S SC, it took them 2 days to check the issue, then result is they said it was caused by the air condition component and no solution from Proton Technical Headquarter, but they already knew the issue and looking to solve this.... 2 different SC told me different cause of problem, I wonder if I take to their technical headquarter at Bukit Kemuning, don't know what reason they will give this time... My Persona SE bought in January 2009, and until now already 9 month, still no solution!!! I am now really regret to support Proton again.... I am looking to see if there is anyway that we can take legal action to sue Proton? This is a new car, not used car, if is used car, I understand, but this is a NEW car, but acting like old car.... Or else if there are people who fixed this problem... PLEASE PLEASE share your solution... We can't rely on Proton SC, now only can seek from other people help... By the way, my friend bought Persona SE at October, so far he don't have this issue... I believe they solve for new car, but don't care about existing owner who has the problem... |

(connector loose) Added on October 20, 2009, 10:15 am QUOTE(loong2020 @ Sep 13 2009, 11:24 AM) mine is non-iafm automatic also.......most of the time will touch 190km with no dropping gear and hard revving...just smoothly pressing the pedal.....when wanna go topspeed, just turn off aircond...it give less stress on the engine and thus, it will give u more power.....if u on aircond, it will reach 190km or (195km) (tested on klia with 3people in the car) but slower compare to OFF completely..... I have done 195 Km on the way to PD. I started with one BLM also .. it was hard to overtake the guy at first after a while a few emergancy brakes the BLM was no where near.. but i have to say persona is very stable but then the brakes sometimes feels a bit spongy.. QUOTE(ralf @ Oct 20 2009, 12:15 AM) charcoal canister, every campro has it..the function is like when engine is stop, waste petrol go into this. It's an automotive filter in which activated carbon has been placed so that gas tank fuel vapors, which have accumulated when the vehicle is not running, are trapped in the filter. correct me if i'm wrong •When the engine is running, hot air is forced into the filter and push out the vapors into the engine. •In this way, pollution is reduced and conservation of the fuel is maintained. •Also called activated charcoal trap or charcoal canister. |

Based on replies... seems like nobody have any concrete answers.... i am also looking for the source of the sound myself during my free time. Again, i appeal to those who have solutions... please voice up. Side note: Those driving IAFM models take note. The engine breather hose on the right side (you facing the engine). This hose apparently will rub badly against the throttle body electrical wiring plastic holder. Mine less than 3k mileage already got cut quite badly on its surface of the rubber hose. I have DIY padded it to avoid further damages. |

Maybe u can have someone stand outside and try to hear where the sound coming from when turn right on uneven surface.
Can post pic about the hose the will rub against throttle body wiring holder? How you DIY it? I'm going for 1st maintenance can get SC to DIY? Can someone press their rear boot and see if the metal will sink in when you press it? Mine is solid on the left part but right part the metal sink in when i apply abit of pressure. What is the range of our alarm sensor? Seems I need to be really close to unlock the doors. Also is the pickup slower than kelisa? Seems I always slower than those Saga Taxi & Kelisa on 1st gear. Anybody installed aftermarket alarms for their Persona? Like those with remote start and remote trunk release? Will our immobilizer work after that?

QUOTE(roiss @ Oct 20 2009, 11:23 PM) Thanks.1. When you said copy to SDMMC to you mean the root folder of SD Card or SDMMC folder of SD Card? 2. Do we need to change any of the file to point to this? Default is pointing to Guider folder. Having tried GMXT & PaPaGO X3 which would you recommend base on bugs, performance, accuracy etc... This post has been edited by csho: Oct 21 2009, 08:59 AM |
