waah, V6 already, super fast....as fast as NGs' car. btw ng, that photo of apais' car is very big. the new roller looks very familiar. used to buy aluminium roller with similar design but from different make. cheers. |

Ng, when u'r going to TU? thought u'r going on saturday. i've dismantled my old cars & replaced them with few of my spares. not much changes in the setup, damn sibuk nowadays with chores at home.

MALAYSIA MINI4WD CHAMPIONSHIP 09 I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT WE STARGEK (M) S/B OR TAMIYA UNDERGROUND IS PROUD TO PRESENT TO ALL MINI4WD RACERS THE MALAYSIA MINI4WD CHAMPIONSHIP 09. THIS CHAMPIONSHIP WILL DETERMINE THE CHAMPION FOR THE YEAR 2009. THIS CHAMPIONSHIP WILL CONSISTS OF 5 QUALIFYING ROUNDS AND 1 FINALS TO DETERMINE THE WINNER. THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS WILL START FROM JULY TO NOVEMBER AND THE FINALS WILL BE IN DECEMBER. THE TOP 6 FROM EACH ROUND WILL BE ASURED A SPOT IN THE FINALS BUT EACH RACERS IS ALLOWED A MAXIMUM OF 2 SPOTS ONLY. FROM THE 5 ROUNDS 30 RACERS AND ANOTHER 2 WILD CARD WILL BE COMPETING IN THE FINALS. THE FORMAT FOR THE FINAL WILL BE. 1) FIRST ROUND 32 RACER 2) SECOND ROUND 16 RACER 3) THIRD ROUND 8 RACER 4) LAST 4 THE SEMI FINAL 5) THIRD AND FOURTH PLACING 6) THE FINAL. * THE FINAL WILL BE A 1 ON 1 RACE. THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS. TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL RACERS DO HAVE A CHANCE IN WINNING IN THE ROUNDS IT WILL BE HELD WITH DIFFERENT TYPE OF TRACK LAYOUTS. ROUND 1 = SPEED TRACK ROUND 2 = SEMI SPEED TRACK ROUND 3 = TECHNICAL TRACK ROUND 4 = SEMI SPEED TRACK ROUND 5 = SPEED TRACK THE RACE FORMAT FOR THE QUALIFYING RACES WILL FOLLOW THE PREVIOUS CONTROL RACE. 1) TIME ATTACK 2) FINALS THE RULES OF THE RACE WILL BE 1) ALL ORIGINAL TAMIYA CARS AND PARTS. 2) THIS RACE IS OPEN TO ALL ORIGINAL TAMIYA CHASIS ( MS , SUPER 1 , SUPER FM , VS , TZ , TZX , SUPER X , FM ETC). 3) WIDTH MUST NO EXCEED 105MM. 4) LENGTH MUST NOT EXCEED 165MM. 5) HEIGHT OF ANY LOWEST PART OF THE CAR OR SCREW OR BRAKE MUST BE HIGHER THAN 1MM. 6) HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST POINT MUST NOT EXCEED 70MM. 7) ONLY 6 ROLLERS ARE ALLOWED FOR ALL THE CARS ( DOUBLE ROLLERS COUNT AS 1 PIECE) 8) RACERS CANNOT USE SCREWS AS BRAKE , PROPER BRAKE MUST BE USED. 9) ANY MODIFICATION WHICH MAY COUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRACK IS NOT ALLOWED ( RACE OFFICIAL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY ENTRY WHICH NOT FOLLOW THE RULES) 10) MODIFICATION ON THE MOTORS ARE NOT ALLOWED. 11) ONLY PROPER CLEANER SPRAY IS ALLOWED IN THE RACE , OILY SPRAYS IS NOT ALLOWED AS IT MAY HARM THE MOTORS , BEARINGS AND MIGHT MAKE THE TRACK OILY. 12) TYRE HEIGHT MUST NOT EXCEED 31MM 13) MINIMUM TYRE HEIGHT IS 22MM  14) MINIMUM TYRE WIDTH IS 8MM 14) MOTORS ALLOWED ARE TORQUE TUNE PRO , ATOMIC TUNES PRO ,REV TUNES PRO, HYPER DASH PRO , TORQUE TUNED , ATOMIC TUNED , REV TUNED , HYPER DASH 2 , POWER DASH AND SPRINT DASH. 15) BODY MUST HAVE STICKERS AND CLEAR BODY MUST BE PAINTED WITH STICKERS. 16) TOP 6 WILL GET PRIZES. 17) ENTRY FEE IS RM10 PER PERSON. Just to share with you; Sample car set up for Technical Race in Philippines.
All Tamiya parts with minor modification as long as part shall be used intented for the car as tamiya products. For example, cutting of FRPs and using it aside from its intended purpose are not allowed. Front brakes, wide brakes are not allowed. Ponted Brakes are only allowed using the original brakes included in the sliding brake or the grey colored brake set. Trimming of Tires is allowed but with limiotations. Others rules follow as per Tamiya Japan rules. For Open race, Sames as per above especially the pointed brake rules and using Tamiya motors but some modifications are allowed such as cutting of FRPs, additional reinforcement on the chassis, modification of gears and others. side   front  rear  top   bottom  inner  some other detail   car profile -motor- lightdash pro -gear- Mini 4WD PRO Super Speed Gear Set/JR Fluorine Coated Gear Shaft -chassis- Reinforced N-02/T-01 Units/orange ABS Mini 4WD PRO Lightweight Center Chassis -roller- 19mm Aluminum Roller with Plastic Ring/WA double roller -wheel- Low-Height Tire & Wheel (Fin) front wheel offset+60mm normal Shafts front roller angle adjusted by using 4 turn of the paper tag... thus it provide sufficient downforce when the car jump.... thanks  This post has been edited by szngszng: Sep 12 2009, 03:28 AM |

7mm for me is too small, but it's good because it won't spoil as fast as the 19mm what we are using now...hahaha... cost and performance, you can made your choice...

everything come in pros and cons, small roller is more stable compare to big 1...so try to find 1 more suitable 1 ...hehehe...

But today got added mass n i nearly made 25:00(estimate), unfortunately i fail bcoz my car minorly stuck abit n output is 25.52... Thanks for sharing new tank... Wonder position of those mass dampers is placed will work how leh... Hehe... |

me that day do 25.xx with recyco rechargable bett.you do it by using energizer..walao ehh..really fast..later i change some setting and try again!!

looking at the enlarged pic, if this is the set up tat ng used de other day, then i think it is definitely below 1mm.. most probably ng has re-setup de setting before uploading his car unto the forum.. nobody's know..
i think wat n3rv trying to point out is, the enforcement of regulation.. if above 1mm, means above 1mm.. but, nevertheless, the race is over.. no point bringing up this matter anymore as it will not change any decision made.. >David, i think de next race no need to open one eye, close one eye.. Juz go according to rules so tat ur decision will not be questioned.. i think in tat case, it's fair for everyone n oso to urself.. |

haha... even upload thing for you to learn also got so many complaint... so next time don't even hope any 1 share his thing at here...
the brake is above 1 mm... i snape the photo at a pcs of soft paper, so that it look nicer... the paper is not flat ... just like what studio doing the back drop... i even build a mini studio to take the photo in-order the let the subject clear... below 1 mm brake wont be that fast... you try it ... you will know it... the setting is that day setup... i snap the spaces and every thing so clear.. you can try to re-build it accordingly and you will know it... hahahaha anyway... happy that some 1 comment on it... let learn..haha |

this should be last posting about Ngs car. n3rv, you'r more like a sore looser to me than somebody who wishes to oppose fair play. n3rv u should check ngs' last editing done on page 3, before firing up like some loose cannon. all racers, this is getting vy emotional.. can v solve this diplomatically.. 1st.. ng's point of view by revealing his car setting is to share with other racers.. 2nd.. n3rv's point of view is to point out regulation non-compliances on ng's car setting.. due to camera angle, it might have illustrated that ng's car specifically on the rear did nt meet up de requirement of 1mm clearance.. but on another angle it does meet up to de requirement.. although i can sense some spark hea, i can see it is for the benefit of tamiya's development especially hea in Malaysia.. mayb de way de message being conveyed might sound a little bit uncomfortable, i believe it is for the benefit of tamiya.. Therefore, i wud nd every racer that participated in de above topic to chill out, n be frens nt enemy.. Let me stress hea that ther's nobody win or lose, right or wrong, it's only for sharing opinions.. Let's nt take this matter further to de next level and end this now right hea.. if im nt mistaken, tat is sumthing v call electrolysis.. a type of metal is used (usually Cr, Chromium for Chrome colour) in an electolite usually water.. n thru electicity, cations and anions are generated and eventually cations (+ charge) will stick to negative point due to opposite charge for reduction.. vy same principle like chroming a bicycle body.. this is wat i can think, unless it is really a metal body.. correct me if im wrong.. |

today tested my car... 3 mass damper: 1 front and 2 at the back.... this is to reduce the bouncing of the rear tyre... and it's work!! thanks to mini4wd or mr.E, your tips really work... now i have to ready a real powerful motor... then it can push the car harder~~hohoho

i also like super X... but super X's wheelbase is too wide, it's very slow in cornering.... so try to narrow up the wheelbase as you can... you also can found that super-X wheel is diff from other chassis's wheel...hehe

Well then, this is my best time today. Done with large dia. wheels (small wheels previously not as fast), light-dash pro, and IKEA batt. Very lucky run as I almost flew out twice.

Ng, me buy so many stuff? not much nowadays, only buying frp plates aka ice cream sticks only. i missed the AO 620 bearing again(the new one).
this time buying for my anak, hes trying to modd my old super-x chassis. i've a few frps.....especially the curve one not utilised. i'll pass them to you whenever we meet at TU. any more good pointers for me Ng? |

company system down... so i post some useful stuff for the community... this 1 i copy from hk forum, thanks to mr. johnho4302 which provide the public a useful knowledge so that we can take out the ball bearing with simple and proper way... in this case, we no need to buy the expensive bearing puller ...hahaha... 1 more thing... it's budget~~!!!

IMO and from experience it has more to do with my landing angle than the speed I'm landing at or even the tires. Szng is the expert at flying into corners, he run same tayar as me but I bounce more
Bounce 2 times of course safer but now is the time we try to beat someone's record time which still stands! To hell with safer! Break more bumpers! |

where do i get all these tools? esp the needle file set, never heard of tt one b4. 2mm drillbit is the size of the screw holes i assume.
outrageous setting requires outrageous tools and patience thats outrageously out of this world. |

ng, the stickers cost me rm20 per metre. same price like the one selling in LYN, seller nick is rezzz. but not sure if the the quality & material is the same. rezzz stuff is from germany.

yeah~ you try to add some weight to those places... you will see the diff... i have a new point of view to this ms-pro after i do that... when the weight solved the bouncing problem...the car will run faster due to it did't lose much of the power on the wheel... |

no trolley needed, just reverse park yr car to TU side entrance. once david done the count & tagging, put the stuff straight into the car boot. heehee, sure everybody needed plenty of parts since david implemented the new ruling. cheers. |

faiz, i make use of the ms-L chassis. though they say the ms-L chassis is ~10% lighter, the combination of other parts in my car, compensate the -10%. damn, my car is heavy like the scorpion tank. ;-)

if your car widen up... i cannot imagine the clock!! should be faster than now i think so...hoho...
base on my previous observation, it's 2 or 3 pcs diff with widen car compare to narrow car... your car is really really fast!!! |
