QUOTE(ma43q @ Sep 11 2009, 11:40 AM) Wd 1TB caviar green died on my twice within 4 months. so sent back for warranty claim and at the mean time bought a 1tb caviar black for replacement. but my 2 caviar green 640Gbs are running fine. same here. my WD green 640gb is superb! my WD 320gb oso running just fine. maybe the light is still shining upon me. both see-gate and maxtorn fail me before.

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Sep 11 2009, 02:18 PM) U are making me worried la bro.. Just bought an 1TB Green last month for all of my data collections Please allow me to help. My first WD 1 TB green also failed on me a couple of months after I bought it and got back another unit of the same model after RMAing. Are you feeling even more nervous now? Luckily I had budgeted for two of the drives, because I had feared what would happened if one of them failed, so I hadn't lost anything to that incident. I'm actually pretty pleased with them so far. WD 640GB is really fine+cool here. Don't know why, my previous seagate hdds are hot to touch while WD don't.

WD more cheaper, if plan to use BT for download long time can try seagate SV35(CCTV use) 24hours on temp below 35"
