so the audio will goes to ur speaker as per normal using the audio cable.

if u want to use hdmi, since u mention cheaper way.. u need to crack open ur av cable so that it can fit with both hdmi and av cable. av cable is for u to connect it to ur speaker using the normal audio cable.

here it goes

u can look for other videos on youtube if u didnt really see how he did it.

and if u dont know how to connect the audio cable to ur speaker..
u need this.

hope it clears everything.

Followed what the dude on youtube to crack open the el-cheapo AV cable bundled with Arcade version. The good thing is the xbox male connector doesn't come loose as showed in the youtube video but still need a duct tape to wrap around prevent electrical zap. Voila! My HDMI cable and the hacked AV cable works nicely on my 19" LCD monitor + Hifi setup smile.gif

hi....

I think there are 3 resolution for this problem......

First you can follow the video from youtube or you can use the vga cable or you can buy the hdmi cable that is given when you buy xbox 360 elite....

hope it helps....

basically, u need to crack open the xbox av cable and plug in into ur xbox.
second, plug end of ur av cable to ur speaker. ->for sound obviously.
third, plug ur hdmi/dvi cable like normal ->this is for video/display

Just make sure you wrap the bare naked AV connector with duct tape to prevent electrical shock smile.gif
