i was focusing front objects only and blurring rear background purposely.
Higher Aperture, F1.8 will deriving better focusing in front object and blurring rear background. maybe handshake or like dis? ![]() |

QUOTE(project-o @ Sep 11 2009, 12:54 PM) I agree.... which is why I find the 35 f1.8 much improved that you can see the sharpness wide open and at f3.5 (1 stop) you can really see how sharp it is. time to change 50mm kit ehehe..poison Added on September 11, 2009, 12:55 pmThe f number is the aperture size. The larger the aperture the smaller the F-number. |

QUOTE(raptorclans @ Sep 12 2009, 03:46 PM) QUOTE(Firdaus92 @ Sep 12 2009, 04:15 PM) You can go for the 50mm f/1.8 also but you need to manual focus. If you want it to AF (autofocus) on your D3000 body, better choose one of the lens you stated there. yea correct 50mm f1.8 is not bad for beginner use but no auto focus. If u got better budget please go for f1.4 hoho |

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Sep 15 2009, 02:56 PM) i still negotiating with my dad to get me the 50mm f/1.4 AF-S >.< Please share some pics with us once u got ur f1.4 really wan to get it, wish me luck guys! @project-o i tested the Sigma 50mm, n it is really huge n heavy heavier than kit lens... the filter size so big, 77mm optics i cant really say which is better, cos limited time n subject to test but i feel then Nikon AF-S 50mm AF speed is faster so i still prefer Nikon |

just my 2 cents |

QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Oct 23 2009, 07:14 PM) Suggest you to select a poison lens in a shop that offer good price then ask them to make interest free installment for you. I assure u that after the installment plan ended, u could still sell your lens in a good price. Imagine installment free for rm200++ a month for a nikon d90 for 24 months. Investing a camera body is like investing in a car which the value drop from time to time when something better comes out pushing the value down. Agreed!! Lens is playing an important role.. unless go for SLR which the price doesnt drop dramatically like D90 Body replacement models = happens like 1 year or 2 years once lens replacement = not really . that why a good condition lens always still in nice price |
