if u talk abt budget then off coz d40 is a good buy. would rec u to get it,
after using it for some time u can upgrade another body while still keeping the d40.
couple of years back a women photog won photog of the year in US, her gear was d40 with kit lense.
the price varies bro, dun think can get new one anymore, 2nd hand body i've seen 700 and above

Yes definitely bro. get the new ones with VC.
even tho its 300 bucks more exp. but the Vc really helps.
im not having the lense but used it b4. would love to have it!
