QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ Sep 17 2009, 03:47 PM) i wonder how if this toy car is capture with 50mm, f/1.8, kinda tight shot, focus on the flying-car.. It depends on the camera you are capturing with. If you use the D3 and capture it, sure can wan! Otherwise just make sure park the camera on a tripod and focus in the area. Max burst speed! |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Dec 6 2009, 10:30 PM) 200 can get so good exposure... If with flash no need say, sure nice T.T Its a matter of balancing your aperture, shutter speed, ISO and flash all together. How did you use your flash? A pop up flash?Mine ISO 400 with flash also underexposed... kitlens only >.< |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Dec 7 2009, 12:08 PM) No im using Nissin Di622 with a bounce card. The showgirl is not underexposed, but the background is underexposed. ISO i used 400, aperture lowest possible (F5.6 i think), shutter speed i manually put 1/50, and that's the lowest speed i can handheld with least handshake. Thanks for the examples, in situations like this if you really want to get the ambient background to be correctly exposed then you have to lower your shutter speed as well as your ISO. So yes, shooting at ISO 800 will definitely increase the ambient lighting. You can probably stop down to around 1/30 shutter speed without having significant handshake. Just need to know how to handle it carefully and use proper breathing techniques (e.g. click on the shutter when you breathe out, don't hold your breath!). here's the outcome: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i can't get photo like this: (not my photo) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So i think either it's because i dont have a prime lens, or my D40 noise control is weak (ISO 800 is very noisy) or i dont have a good bounce card. But i think it's because of the noise control though, i should have used ISO 800 =( or get a prime.. For the D40, ISO 800 is still usable as long as you expose for the image correctly. Most of the time, even the noise when printing out the image into 8R size, it isn't noticeable. Don't be a pixel peeper and see everything in 100% crop. |

QUOTE(C.P.U @ Dec 18 2009, 11:58 AM) Hi. I going a concert.. soon. Can someone teach I should use what mode? I normally use M for all photo snaping.. Tripod and flash is required? A flash would be handy to use but in a concert where spot lighting is available on the performers, then the flash might not be needed. Having a tripod around is a little too bulky in my opinion. Prevents less flexibility. Best to walk hand held. At least you don't bump your tripod into other people. |
