QUOTE(my friend)
Don't be a slave to your DSLR by using auto this, auto that, let your DSLR be your slave. By using auto, you better off with P&S compact camera and you'll be wasting the DSLR full perfomance, so use manual, hard to grasp at first, but then you'll appreciate it later.

Modified abit to add spices laugh.gif

if u dono your 'slave'....then how u use it? understand it 1st before making it as ur slave. Using M is good, but u will have hard time guessing the exposure if u dont understand how ur shutter and aperture work together. Your friend tok kok...lol..he should say tht to a professional photographer..not us or maybe after few years of using DSLR. whistling.gif

flare way up there? wanna say a plane, but why its too bright? it cant be a street light.. laugh.gif
*
yes it is a flare...flares are normally 180 degree opposite to the middle of your image. for example...u have strong sunlight at 11 o clock at your pic...then the flare is at 5 o clock.

D is distance information, so the lens transfer the focus distance to your camera and your camera can know the focus point drop on where.

Try turning to manual focus, and you will notice your viewfinder got "rangefinder" bar that tells you where is your focus distance on the subject.

so that is D? means got scale? lol... rclxub.gif G also got tht scale...
