Hi all,

I just bought my D3000 not more than a week (4days to be exact), bought Body Only for RM1620 and top up RM130 for 4GB, a DSLR bag (cheap one), a tripop and a screen protector... (The screen protector brand DC what RSP is RM199, really expensive, but I dun know whether the price goes like this cause I'm new in this hobby).

I'm now having a Nikkor 18-200mm borrow from friend to play around. Actually aiming Nikkor 18-105mm (D90 Kitlens) to fit my D3000 for travelling purpose... Anyone here know where can get 2nd hand cheap?? or anyone here willing to let go theirs?? Pls let me know... Budget is around RM750.

I hope can learn something from all the Sifus here.. 

P/S: Planning to go Bkt Tinggi near Genting tomorrow for Photo Shooting cum outing... Might post some photos for urs comment... I'm really noob in this.

D3s & 70-200VR II – Just not what I expected!

We spent the day with a most delightful group of shooters at our Adorama workshop. We started on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bay Bridge and ended up in DUMBO. I took advantage of the time to shoot with the D3s & 70-200VR II. To be honest with you, I really thought the D3s was no more than a D3 with video. I couldn’t have been more wrong. And the 70-200VR II, McNally had already told me it was saweet, but not that it was a vast improvement over the older model. Cutting to the chase, I’m blown away by both!

my 2-days old AF 50mm f1.8 front didn't rotate... confirm... test it just now.... dunno about f1.4 tho...

I sometimes dont understand why they love to hang their camera rather than put it inside their bag.

since digital camera tech came, kids can afford to take more pics(no film)
since more kids r getting digicams, digicams r getting too common
since digicams r too common, rich kids get dslr to stand out
since Nikon started the trend of budget dslrs with D40, more kids r getting dslr to stand out too
since dslr r getting common too, whats next? cheaper D3 i hope

55-200 as a primary lens is ok but it depends on what they shoot. I have a friend who is a wedding photographer and he uses 70-200 IS USM for practically everything. Maybe different people have different styles and different ways to use the lens. Some like super wide...others may not like.
