although I'm a gamer, I only knew about Dreamcast's existence in 2002-ish because my favourite team Arsenal was sponsored by SEGA back then lulz (SEGA for away jersey and Dreamcast for home). thought it was some kind of vcd player until my friend told me about it

I miss the VMU. Add a bit weight to controller, but nice.
