QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 1 2009, 02:16 AM) MemorableStudios: You know seriously whether the handling of a dSLR is usable for video, since you have a handycam. Also I don't find it convenient to be both a video and stills person - best to be 2 people, or with the video on a tripod. plan to use with the DSLR with stabilizer system or tripods... it will definitely suck using by hand held... and i dont shoot videos with the tripod...Wonka: SL-1A - Skylight filter, a bit pinkish. Used for film cameras mostly. Can be used as a UV filter replacement also. Kul | MoO: The choice of selling the 55-200mm or beercan will become very obvious to you once you have both (especially if compared on the A700.) marushin: And there I was, trying to Google a picture of the A850 box (because it doesn't have the round corner with Alpha logo inside; instead I think it is squarish.) Banzai_san: The A5x0 does not have Zone and Brightness as far as I know. clivengu: Come to a TT and we can test for you. hkhk: Nice! shootkk: CONGRATULATIONS!!! And happy early birthday! anyway, looking at the advantage of being able to use some fantastic lenses and low light capability with creative DOF implementation.. the end result => more creative looking video... of course i will be doing either video or photo one at a time, but, i rather have two sets of DSLR that can do both video & photo.. than having 2 sets of DSLR (photo) and 2 sets of Handycams (Video)... of course need to invest in the stabilizer system (around RM8K) and some accessories (good mics, lens hood, large capacities memory cards, need at least a few pieces Extreme III with 16GB, etc etc... dont forget lenses... |

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 1 2009, 02:46 PM) MemorableStudios: Having a stabilizer system at RM8K is kinda ironic because it can cost more than a video camera. It's almost like buying those expensive lens adapters to standard video cameras! the stabilizer systems are actually designed for handycam or camcorders... it is meant to keep your camera as steady as possible even if you are running or jerking...ohmyzgod: They probably are clearing their A900s to make way for A850s - after all the A850 will sell a lot more and faster, too. the point here, the DSLR as full time shooting will be difficult as it is not ergonomic as the handycams... therefore, its best used with stabilizer system, and when it is used with the stabilizer system, the ergonomics does not seem to matter much anymore... http://www.directphoto.com.my/webshaper/st...roductItem=1012 |

QUOTE(ieR @ Oct 1 2009, 05:25 PM) clivengu; it's a common issue i guess, like me, although not A700, got the excate same backfocus issue, everything behind would be uber sharp while my focused subject is blurred. and i send it twice to sony malaysia, and they declare they fix it, and they DID NOT. yeah 5DMKII suck at it... but the upcoming 7D has improved on this..MemorableStudios: are u trying to use DSLR for HD video? pardon me, but isnt DSLR video mode has NO-AF? Added on October 1, 2009, 6:44 pm QUOTE(MechaHerc @ Oct 1 2009, 04:57 PM) if u really want to buy something (hic... expensive).. can give me a call..
