ianho: Yes, Hartblei tilt-shift lenses with
Optics by Carl Zeiss exist for the Alpha mount:
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0903/09032403hartbleizeiss.aspThe nature of tilt-shifts is that you'd want to see what it is focusing on at F8, at F8 in the viewfinder (like pressing the DOF Preview button all the time.)
An OEM tilt-shift lens offers the benefit of being able to manually focus wide open (e.g. F2.8) while setting the aperture at F8, but if you understand how tilt-shifts work this feature is not needed.
Funny thing is, I find Nikon far more exciting than Canon. I find the Pentax K-7 far more exciting though in APS-C land.
David Kilpatrick has experience with an ARAX tilt adaptor: (note that this article is dated January 2009, while the DPReview link is dated March 2009.)

stand back, shoot wider and crop.
Yes, the 11-18mm at 18mm is less distorted than the 18-70mm at 18mm.
Wonka: The A550 at high ISO will blow you away. It certainly blew an ex-D90 owner away! Plus a swivel screen for hard-to-reach angles. Also, you would usually shoot food with flash, so there is no need to use high ISO...
shootkk: Interesting how you blend the shoe shot with the couple shot though I'd rather they be separate shots. I like how evenly lit the couple is in some shots, but wish the consistency would extend to all of them. I would crop #8 tighter though I love the 2-flash setup where it hits the bride nicely.
hkhk: Show us samples?
vcvx: Cute! I think I will go out and have satay for dinner. Then again the satay dude nearby might be raya-ing.
clivengu: Bring both, you'll be glad that you did. The A100 + 18-70mm + flash; the A700 + 50mm F1.4.
hey Albnok bro, why dont you post some high ISO pictures from A550.. .i'm sure it will brighten the hearts of the orange legionaires...
