i just tried on a fred perry at a reject shop! i really like them!

not luxury or premium or anything, just a simple, well-made polo that is very nice to wear. more than can be said of others.

As much as I like simple, well-made polos, I am most reluctant to spend more than 100 bucks on one. You think the sales will go this low?

that low? i really doubt that. normal retail price is about RM339. even if it can plunge 50%, it is still beyond your budget.

just in case you are able to raise your budget, try to get a black twin tipped polo in champagne. it is THE classic.

Champagne with black trim would be very, very nice indeed. But stop tempting me.

If the model name is printed on the inside label, e.g M125/3600/whatever, does it mean it is an original?

No I don't have a pic.

I find that FPs have very narrow shoulder widths. The shoulder seam sits far above my deltoids, giving the impression that I am even narrower-shouldered than I already am. The collar opening is disproportionally wide for such a narrow shirt, leaving quite a gap.

The good thing about FP is the narrow sleeve hem which grips my bicep firmly, narrow torso, and light and minimalistic construction, unlike these ridiculous Padinis with stupendously thick button plackets (for zero reason). I also like the coloured bands around the collar and sleeve hem. It's all very tastefully done, construction and colour-wise.

I went to the FP outlet in KLCC today.

A polo shirt for RM399? Sorry, out of my reach in this lifetime.

Little boys! I went to tangs today and they have all these FP polos for RM289? Why are they so cheap (by FP standards, that is)?

yeah..today i went tangs as well..lots of fp polos rm289 @@
btw..wat does M3600 stands for?

Are those at Tangs M3600? All of them? They do not appear to be slim to me, the size S looks pretty roomy (I did not try on).

Yeah, but anyway, every time I want to jump on one, I remind myself that I can have a very, very nice bespoke shirt made of fantastic cotton decked out in iridescent mother of pearl buttons for the price. But in their product category I would rather have FP than any other brand, especially RL which is a tired, fatigued brand for polos.

Dunno about Pavilion, but Tangs Subang Empire has roughly 40 colourways, but none in champagne. They also have this Japanese T-shirt brand "superdry" which are made of thickish flanelly cotton so will wear very warm.

Very nice FP.

Still find it hard to pay for one despite admiring it for so long. Maybe one of these days...

With FPs fit is everything. If you're really thin you'd need to pack on some mass before you can wear one with success.

Went to FP KLCC, the cheapest M1200 that interests me costs RM270 after the 20% discount. A Global G-2 at Isetan only costs RM325. Haih, too expensive lah.

Added on December 16, 2010, 11:03 pmi also think im too late for the sales all the iconic designs are gone

^ black with a champagne tipping is the most iconic fp polo.

have you checked out M3600?
*
I don't like black. I want a champagne with darker tippings (brown or black doesn't matter). Maybe i should go again.

There is no standard price for M1200. Some are cheaper, some more expensive. Some have 40% discount, some only 20%.

I find an ikea bag to be an excellent weekender.

The question to ask is, would any of the bags work without the logo?

If they appear cheap and generic without the logo, then you know these are uninspired designs.

I care more about genius than about branding.
