Why on earth you would like to do that? Suppose the 478 stock heatsink is better than the new 775.

But than if you really wan do that. You would have to change the fan. Remove the push pin. Cut a arcylic braket on the top and have very long screw.

I would suggest you to get a used or new 478 cooler.

Edit- saw your siggy.
Never say before such thing.
Solution- sell your psu and get a cheap one... Or...
Get a 20pin + 4pin from old psu and change with your 24pin psu

tx3? haha... i thought u wan use the stock 775... laugh.gif

this is easier, cut a bracket and place it across the space between the heatpipe. than place it with long m3 bolt.

some edit will be better.

the rubber is places below the mobo and not in between will be better. this will incrase the height and make the cooler not touch the processor.

and just make sure the base touch the processor after insert the bracket ok ler...

_____ cooler
_____ processor
_____ mobo
O . . O only the rubber washer wink.gif
