If not mistaken, I read that some forummers posted that "neoprene" material is hot (in terms of temperature) cause the heat can't be dispersed fast enough...

I think it was brother Ianho (if not mistaken). There are other brands that provide better ventilated materials like those from Lowepro. But not sure if they are grippy enough like neoprene materials. Yes they are hot but you can get a narrower band to reduce the 'contact area'. So for these reasons, I went for a Matin strap. Cheap and serves it purpose. rolleyes.gif

I reallly regret not getting the Matin Neckstrap for RM25 at KLPF!
How much did you pay for yours?
*
I got mine for RM35 from DirectPhoto, Brunsfield Business Park, Jalan Cheras KL. The Matin straps comes in a few variation either straight or curve type and with or without fast clip. But DirectPhoto only has the ones without fast clip because of the reliability of the clips.

Why'd you need S90? Don't mind to lose out on some IQ (Image Quality) to lose the weight of your ultra-heavy 1D MkIII?

@davidmak:
Thanks for the information. May I know what's the difference between straight and curve type?
*
The neoprene strap/padding area comes in a few shapes straight and curve. The straight type as you would guess it is straight while the curve type is shaped to fit your 'neck lines' so you'll feel more comfortable. Basically I don't see a difference between the two variants. They are comfortable anyway. I remember a friend here mentioned the Matin strap is too long to his liking. For me, its a little on the short side. Maybe due to the way I secure the camera. I follow the Olympus way of securing the end strap 'within' the ties so it doesn't go astray and start poking eyes. Hehehe...

Yup, it's true, Matin strap is too short for me actually, compared with the original canon strap. Wish to have longer neoprene like strap, but not from optech (too big, and doesn't suit to my nature of bringing the camera around).

Yeah, I'm also not a fan of large strap. I have to acknowledge that they may be comfortable but their large area would only cause 'sweat spots' for me.

Aiya isn't it the same kekekeke... This one also come from local or China mah... biggrin.gif Anyway I have been using them for a few years now. Durable enough to withstand serious use and drop. The casings can be 'daisy-chained' to form a long pack of 8s or more.

How I wish we have such metals. Then our batteries can last for a long long time with zero recharge time. Flash can keep on flashing. biggrin.gif
