Ah icic, yeah that one has a gold ring. Very scary when carrying it around. I always have to make sure that I don't scratch the front element. Must keep it zoomed at 24mm at all times to ensure that the element doesn't protrude out.

Yeah only the newer ones, like the 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 50mm G, 60mm G.

Interpolation means the software makes the original image from 3MP to 5MP. Usually this won't give you the best quality because the added pixels are software manipulated. Its like shooting a 400x400 image and using Photoshop to upscale it to 700x700.

Hardware means the sensor can create up till a 3MP image.

TN Panels, the colour gamut not as comprehensive as compared to PVA and S-IPS mah that is why people pay good money for them.

If you get the more premium ones like those from Lacie, can even pay a lot more USD$5000 and above

Really? Thats weird, I know my friend uses Sandisk Extreme III 8Gb cards to record video and shoot on her 5Dmk2

I totally agree about the case of corruption of still images. My friend faced that exact same problem while we were on a shoot. Still managed to recover the images though (thank god for that!)

I have about 8 CF cards which I use on a shoot and when you do a lot of shoots with on the spot printing, CF card management gets a bit difficult. With a CF card pouch like the Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket, I can fit in 10 CF cards there which is useful.

I got it from my friend in Singapore, only around RM60+. It was on sale if I am not wrong

The best deal for me was the 8Gb CF cards, RM115 only for each 8Gb card.

My friend got it during PC fair if I am not wrong so I am not too sure which shop he got them from. Sorry, I don't know the 16Gb Ultra ones at that time.

Yeah the new Ultra's replaced the aging Extreme III and Extreme IV although the transfer speeds are not as quick.

Now they have the new Extremes (60mb/s) and the Extreme Pro (90mb/s).

Get the Ultras, worth every penny especially if you buy them in Singapore. You save about RM20-30 if you get the 8Gb and above as you can see in your price lists.

Mine transfers at 30mb/s but I am using Firewire CF card readers to test them out. Should be the same for high end USB2 CF card readers as well. I know my Sandisk USB2 Extreme CF card readers are rated at 30Mb/s
