Cathay Photo, saw the promo advertisement on Straits Time(yesterday and today).
$298 for the tripod is very cheap already, you still want them to bundle with a ball head? sweat.gif sweat.gif

Wow, so did everyone take out their 'gun' and shoot? tongue.gif
I also registered for the seminar, but didn't go at the end because of the timing.
I'm going for the F1 practice day tomorrow, hope can take some nice photos. laugh.gif

The carbon fibre tripod market price is around SGD450-480.
Faster grab it before it's too late.

In fact immeadiately everybody take out their gun to shoot Barrichelo at the seminar.. haha

We Recon around the Circuit area to look for where we can shoot. Most of the area was covered with green color canvas. This shoot was taken at a stair at marina square. Not easy to shoot as I have no idea when the safety car will appear, as my view was blocked.. I shoot Based on the sound. There is only safety car and medical car running on the circuit.. they could do 1 round at about 2-3 min.

You have the ticket, sure can get better view smile.gif

If I bought the Tripod, must spend a few hundred more to buy ball head. doh.gif
I have spend a few K to buy new cam + lens this month..

Sent an email to them asking about regulation on photography. This is their reply.

We appreciate your transparency regarding the equipment you intend to bring into the circuit park. Our main concern, and that of Formula One Management, is that all equipment brought into the circuit park should not be for commercial purposes. If your equipment is deemed to look professional, you may be required to fill out a form at the entry gate stating that it is purely for personal use.

Additionally, we would like to stress that the enjoyment of other spectators should not be impeded and we therefore urge patrons with photographic equipment to show consideration. Tripods and monopods will only be allowed in the general walkabout areas and not into the grandstands

In conclusion, we do not see a problem with you bringing the equipment you have mentioned to the race. However, you may experience slight delay at the entry gate subject to filling out the form mentioned above.

Cheers ! smile.gif

I m not sure. I don have ticket. Maybe Sukhoi37 will know..
but my fren who is a F1 fan, he say it's stated on last year ticket. But this year Ticket never mention about that.
He say can bring 300mm but U need to sign a form that you agree the photos is not for commercial use..

Any recommendation?
If the ball head the can go for 2 type of mount.. ie the normal manfroto mount size & and a normal camera mount (for my monopod) that would be very good

Sorry, i'm also beginner in ballhead.
your monopod mount is different from manfrotto one?
I think you better bring your monopod down for testing, or do some research first before buying.
