my copy is sharp, but you can't expect to have the sharpness of primes on this lens. At f/2.8 my 100mm macro beats it more than a mile. tongue.gif

f/3.2 | 1/200s | ISO400 | EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM

focus is on her eyes (forgot left eye or right eye). No post-processing done. I don't have any decent f/2.8 photos from this lens. This lens has a tendency of strong lateral CA.

Haha that rumor has been floating around since 2 years back. CES came and gone, still no sign of the rumored 24-70L IS and 14-24 L

maybe I'm just lucky to get a good copy tongue.gif This lens has very good focal length for portrait and model shoot but now I find myself using my 100mm macro on my 1D3 more. Friggin' sharp for the 100mm macro.

Seriously I'm thinking of selling off my 24-70L and fund for 50L and 85L tongue.gif

many says the 50L is not that usable at f/1.2L... need to rent one and test it out myself first.

Hoya HD technology is newer if technically speaking.
Improved coating design. 16 layers cool.gif
I find it is very easy to clean.
