But cost sure more expensive from 1 x 32GB...

yes it does cost more but it minimize the risk of losing most of your images in the event of card failure. I normally just stock a bunch of 8GBs.

ah? what problem? Got any reference/links? I am thinking of stocking 3-4 pieces of Sandisk 8GBs in the upcoming PC fair.

That many pieces ? Is there going to be a price hike ?

nah, memory card will get cheaper and cheaper. I have an upcoming photography expedition to China in May and I prefer to bring more cards and leave my laptop at home.

The 8gb Sandisk Extreme III got corruption probs on 5D2 with stills n also vids. Mebe u can google it n c if got probs with 1D3.
