Australia-based designer Tai Chiem's bugged-out next-gen gaming systems take it to the next level. Above, his X-Box 720; below, a Playstation 4 with a glass touchscreen panel, and bottom, the coup de grace--a PSP with a flexible, roll-out OLED screen.

A puzzling detail, though, is that the PSP has a Memory Stick indicator on it, while the console itself looks to be thinner than a normal MSPD.

The PS4 panel looks nice, but people with kids mati la tongue.gif

Next generation consoles would be the size of PS2 Slim. A reduce in size of console is always a welcome, depending on the design, of course. The size should be spot on. However, heat ventilation should not be of a concern.

A surreal 3D real world interactive imaging would be in place in the future. Costing is unknown at the moment. Nintendo's Wii is pushing towards it. Same goes to Project Natal by Microsoft. I'm looking forward for Sony's counter attack on this matter as well. Holographic is the next step but it would not feasible for the time being.

As for the current gaming consoles, I'll give it a 2 to 3 years before they hit the anticipated benchmark. Sure they (game developers) are doing good but the best has yet to materialised.

Regards, Joey
