you can always use splitter or VGA switch for your PC and your xbox. using HDMI for your non-HDMI xbox is quite complicated because you're going to need 2 type of cable. Also don't know how good it is.

maybe you can try to use component to hdmi converter.

the best method is using xbox 360 VGA cable, its around RM50

hdmi require monitor/lcd with audio, if not how to hear sound ?

I bought a 2nd unit for RM30 last 2 month, its using standard connector from xbox which has vga port and 2 sound port (L/R)

get DVI/VGA monitor... use DVI for PC, VGA for xbox

yup, i know, now im using standard vga cable for my xbox..
my pc is old 1, have no dvi output, dats y i wan to use vga for the pc and hdmi for the xbox..
besides hdmi provide better graphic quality, izit true?

like i said, buy VGA switch.. your xbox doesnt have hdmi, so there's no choice.

you cannot use HDMI because VGA doesn't carry sound signal, and converting VGA to HDMI with sound is not worth the hassle. VGA spliter can be very cheap (cable - 5-20 ringgit) but i have no idea how much VGA switch is. the cheapest that i surveyed is £4- £10 on ebay. Don't know about Low Yat Plaza. Haven't been there for a long time.

VGA switch cost around RM15. Bought it at PC Depot. Other shop probably same.

hey tumpang thread ..guys if im gonna connect my xbox360 to my monitor using hdmi cable thru a hdmi/dvi adapter..but how do i get the sound to work?

use another cable to get the sound, u might need to crack the case open because it's a tight fit between the cable and the hdmi connector... the official ms hdmi cable a separate dongle (with a smaller connector head) just for audio.

is there any other way besides buying that ms hdmi cable? its kinda exp..

just use another hd/vga cable, but like i said ud have to crack open the connector head or trim it. if u sayang ur ori hd cable then get a cheap 3rd party one from ebay/playasia
