Hello guys, i hope i won't get shoot by for asking this question but can XBOX 360 use keyboard and mouse to play FPS games like Far Cry, COD or maybe Gears or War?

I'm asking this because there's a guy, friend of a friend actually claims that he play those games using K/B and mouse. At first i don't believe him cause i've never heard anyone actually playing XBOX 360 games using K/B and mouse. And yet he made those claims and sounds so damn serious about it. When i ask for any proof like a picture or something, he give me a very convenient excuse "If u don't believe me then sudah laa, it's not like u own an XBOX 360" ... I was like WTF

I did a search on Google and found out that there is this adapter called XCM XFPS 360, used for connecting K/B and mouse to XBOX 360. Is there such a thing sold in KL? Or maybe u guys know some alternative method?
I know i didn't own an XBOX 360 but i'm damn furious when he say it like that. If what he claims is true then i don't mind being insulted, but if not then i'm gonna shove my fist so high up his axxhole he won't be able to sit for the rest of his life...Sorry for being so emo

wats the point of using a keyboard and a mouse to play on a xbox..my as well go play on a computer instead...

PC are full of hardcores, using KB/M on 360 practically turns everyone else who uses joypad into a noob in CoD4.

To TS, you can't officially play games with KB/M, but there are 3rd party adapters/mod.

I do plug in my razer tarantula into my xbox from time to time to redeem those irritatingly long codes. Works natively without the need for an adaptor.

To input text ya, no need to use any adapter. What he meant was he wanna use keyboard/mouse to play games.

Yes..i agree, there's no point...i just wanna know whether it can be done or not? My friend claims that he's doing it with every fps games..

There are devices that can port keyboard and mouse to play games, but last time i heard, they aren't working so well, not sure bout now, should be improved.

Yes there are devices that allow k/b and mouse to be used on 360 , but IMO there's no point in it .

These devices simply emulate the analog stick movement and the fact that all the 360 games are specifically programmed towards the stick further cripple the k/b and mouse emulation .

Ask your friend to post his setup here or join our FPS session like Halo3/Cod4 to let us admire how good is his k/b and mouse setup .

Why would you wanna play the XBOX360 using keyboard and mouse? Might as well you play computer games, no?

Becoz some game only on console or xbox360. = )

Those game optimize to play with controller wan.

If play with KB and mouse very not shiok.

Just like those people who use FragFX with PS3. They get many kills, but ultimately, not so nice to play.

some ppl fed up with upgrading pc... so might as well get xbox... xbox is from microsoft so should've integrate the keyboard n mouse... use controller to play 1st person shooter kinda difficult for those who always use keyboard n mouse to play... so it's all depends on ppl way of playing...

Just learn. time pass, you will enjoy playing with joypad.
I guess most xbox player also start like that.

I just got my Xbox 360 and I was playing Gears Of War that day wit my friend .... Both of us super funny coz I find it so hard to aim using the analog stick ... after 1 hour then slowly we get used to it d ...

ooo yah ... both of us are hardcore FPS PC players ... so analog was hell for us ... however we had fun .... hahaha Gears Of War roxx wei when playing 2 players split screen... funnnnnn

Yeah..for pc gamer like me its difficult to play FPS games on analog sticks..Haha, maybe that's y i stick to pc for FPS..at first i tot wanna get xbox wan but most xbox games are available on pc (except some xbox exclusive games laa) so i tot i just stick to pc laa...the only game that i really really wanto play on xbox is gears of war 2...too bad that game is not going to be released on pc like the first one..haizzz

Thank the lord... there is hope yet it seems... I thought I was the only one facing this crisys which brought me to this thread... THE PROBLEM IS MY SON IS KICKING MY ASS in shoot-em-up games coz he's sooo used to playing with the joypad whilst myself the humble keyboard and mouse... I turned off the XBOX after 30 mins of fps gameplay... got too sick and dizzy to carry on (gun go left, view went up, and my brain sez look right... damn!!!)... unless its Street Fighter 4 and Naruto of course... made my son cry... hahahah manja crap.

But I'll give it a go... if Jamezco can do it... so could i, I hope. make the boy cry summore!!!

One thing about games made for analog, though, is that the action is usually slower-paced (little bit la), so you can afford to take your time a little bit (at first, unless you play mp )

True..i play GOW2 with my friends the other day..really not used to the analog sticks..keep on dying cause of my clumsiness ...but donno y i feel a little dizzy playing fps or shooting games on tv...maybe because its normal tv and not hd-lcd laa...
hhmm..have to wait for my fren to get hd-lcd first and play again later...

CRT will be a little pening when playing games made for HDTV.
