salt isn't all that bad. the food you take also has salt wan ma.
drink more water also la. after all, drink more water can help cure the ulcer too. If not mistaken, mouth ulcer is caused by too much heat in the stomach.

wow the listerine techniq i 1st time heard, not bad. will try it now, currently i having ulcer inside throat, can call as sorethroat! can die.

if listerine costly, can try the guardian mourthwash, not bad to me.
watermelon powder is good too and effective, around 2-4days to cure.
as for salt.. cheap lo, directly put salt, or rinse salt water, also can cure, rinse more often.

if sorethroat, besides strepsils, i eat watermelon powder pills too, good. =)

I think its help because it kills bacteria/germs?
i never swallow lah, haha, just gargle it, more on the throat there, then rinse out.
