Forms the lowest rung of Windows Mobile devices, and some of them *cough* Not HTC *cough* have quite competitive prices. The claim to fame for this phone is that it's one of the first ones that come with WM 6.5 preinstalled.
But... For one GLARING mistake by HTC (which in my book is never able to make a perfect device, must be the Apple syndrom) I wouldn't really recommend this phone to people.
The Touch 2 ONLY has QWERTY keyboard input. HTC REMOVED THE PHONE PAD INPUT TYPE! You can imagine how small a QWERTY keyboard will be on a 2.8" QVGA screen!
This is usually not a problem since you could just switch over to the phone pad and entered words like a normal phone. BUT... by removing the Phone Input Pad HTC has basically condemmed the Touch 2 to input hell since only the most dextorious of fingers would be able to properly type on the QWERTY keyboard on that small screen.
Hmmm.. maybe HTC removed the Phone Pad because of the Apple syndrom as well? Thought that if a keyboard only was good enough for the iPhone it'll be good enough for the Touch 2 without thinking of the implications.
