If I were to buy this phone.
Do you think I should get an "Original" set or a AP set?

Which is better?

Sort of planning to get this phone.

Any commend or advice before I get this phone?

get the original set....guarantees a peace of mind!
if ur on a very tight budget....then go for the ap set!

things u should know about this phone....
Its an entry level PDA....sitting some where in the middle of all htc models...not too good....not too bad!
The design is nice....looks very neat and smart...slim and medium size. Just nice for the hands and pocket!
the screen is a let down though.....qvga resolution and for me....its too small!
i like 3.5" and above.
the specs are ok.
a perfect phone if ur a light pda user.

jagadis,

Thanks for the long & detailed reply. notworthy.gif

U mean qvga is not good?
Compare to the normal screen (TFT) tat we use to see with Nokia or SE.
Which is better?

My friend actually commended that this phone will be a bit "lagging",
because it's on Window Mobile and not Android.
Wat's ur commend on this?

Lagging? this baby is very smooth biggrin.gif...trust me, as long you don't simply install applications, it will work fine (one of the unit that has quite a lot of ram on it,runs WM6.5 nicely)well screen wise, its not much difference to me IMO. If i were you, don't trust your friend unless he does OWNS the phone tongue.gif..

Lacus,
Thanks for your reply. notworthy.gif

Seems like u r one of the owner of this phone. laugh.gif

With this kind of budget, do you think I should get this (Touch2) or another model? sweat.gif
I was thinking of Tatoo. But, the design is not so nice compare to Touch2. tongue.gif

im a owner too....have been using it since november...
it isn't laggy! not at all.
The specs are just nice for its simplicity.
Qvga is better than tft in general....but i'd prefer vga or even better....wvga.
but then again...for the price u pay, qvga is good enough and u wont really notice the difference on a 2.8" screen.
however, when u put this phone next to a wvga screen phone like the diamond2 or HD2...ul c the difference.
i prefer the touch2 compared to the tatoo...i had the same dilemma when i got mine...between the tatoo or touch2. but choose the touch2 instead!
no doubt..android might be better than winmo...but the HTC sense is made for bigger screen. when the put it on qga 2.8" screen, it looks weird.
and the design....it looks ugly.
touch2 is simple and elegant!

jagadis,

Thanks for the advice again... notworthy.gif

From wat you said. I think Touch2 is simply the best choice.

Now, I'm looking around to get it.
There a shop selling at RM1299. No free gift and not negotiable.
But, software is lifetime warranty.

I was hopping to get an AP set.
By the way, I'm at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. icon_rolleyes.gif

Any advice on this? sweat.gif

1 quick question.

There's a special edition and the price is much more cheaper.
I just wan to double confirm that the "special edition" have no GPS and no 3G, is tat true?

No 3G means no Video call is it? sweat.gif

that does not come with 3G capabilities as in for mobile internet, you can only use Edge only smile.gif if not mistaken, that unit is not available at malaysia (specially for some countries only)

So tat's mean Touch2 and it's special edition can make video call?
Coz, Touch2 is RM1299, but "special edition" is only RM999
