If celcom package, RM50 + RM99 = RM149
extra that I have to fork out every month = 149 - 78 = RM71
the package needs a contract of 12 months = RM71 x 12 = RM 852.

Not worth it, and digi's 3g is so much better than celcom 3g, IF you are in the coverage area.

how does the hero gps (time to lock) fair with other phones? I have heard that IPhone's gps is faster locking than Symbian phones, and I have heard Hero's gps is not that great (slow to lock). Any comments from current owners who have owned other phones with GPS previously?

wow, 3 seconds is fast. my samsung s60 takes around 3-10 if from hot fix.

From Cold fix, it takes anywhere from 2 minutes to 20 minutes.

No wor, I am using DiGi, they tell me currently video call and voice call is same price. My colleague using Maxis also told me the same thing. IPhone also no front camera. If that can be used as a reason.

I bought magic, just going to update to official ROM with sense ui, will post it back here if I manage to get the APN settings properly. The pdaexpert asked me to get the screen protector from digital mall, so I still don't dare to use the magic too much yet. hehe...

All these comes with my ori magic without rooting, so it should be correct. The digi internet is working though, MMS haven't tried yet.

Hey, thanks for the tip, my magic also can focus anywhere, but instead of dragging the focus point, I just click on the screen which part I want to focus, and hold it and it will take a pic with the focus there, cool.

I am interested to get something like that for my magic.

Are you still putting the phone in a pouch (I am not sure if hero comes with a pouch like magic) after you use this capdase casing?

Somehow I felt a bit insecure to expose the whole front out like that in my pocket. :|

on my magic, somehow the side of the screen (when the phone is held vertically) is not as sensitive as the middle/top/bottom. So I don't like the landscape keypad, always missing the space bar! And there's more distance to travel for my thumbs because the keys are further apart.

After flashing the latest official ROM from HTC that have the Sense UI on my magic. I get multi touch, but only in certain applications, like browser and image viewer. Google maps doesn't support multi touch.

Added on December 15, 2009, 8:57 amInteresting, I never realized this when comparing magic (with sense ui) and hero side by side at PC Fair. Vibrant, size and crisp, both looks the same to me.

The difference I noticed is that the LCD for Hero looks a bit deeper than the magic, meaning that the screen looks like its further away from the casing than Magic.

Oh yeah, besides the camera and 3.5mm jack, I think Hero also have an anti fingerprint coating (which might explain my observation above), but its only useful if you don't have a screen protector.

Yeah, you need a bigger screen protector for hero, not because it have a bigger LCD, the comparison is quite clear in this pic.

Good enough for me, and seems like a very safe method.

Actually, good for me, coz Papago haven't supported 1.6 yet! If I understand correctly, there are not much improvement from 1.5->1.6, the only significant thing I know is the support of non HVGA resolution.

Works on my magic. Its a widget, not an application, so go to the main page, click + then select HTC Widget, it should show up there.
