eh guys, the new update is great but only one problem. Once I tilted my phone horizontally, it cant reverse to vertical view eventhough i put the phone vertically again.

i would never go back to original rom...

this rom is way more faster,way more better...plus it have all the apps...
overclock!!everything is pack in!! i still support custom rom..fully access to the phone

Have anyone using VillainROM 12.0.0 Final - WWE Android 2.1 by TeamVillain on HEro?

I'm using villainRom 12, all i can say is, Fastest and most Stable 2.1 official ROM for Hero.

Didn't Cronos though, but i saw some people reporting about certain bugs, not so sure about it.

Just updated and test OK....still figuring the PAPAGO how to make it work :-s
the live wallpaper dun work on stock 2.1 :-s
speed got increase a little bit la...maybe not much start up lol coz i just uninstall quite a lot apps...

mind testing the screen orientation too? It seems like the screen just stays at horizontal view eventhough i shift it back vertically

can but all the app u face tat problem ? just now i did tried with browser no prob tested google map n some other apps as well working perfectly

just updated just now to 2.1...need to change the darn date to september and REMEMBER to open ur browser THEN only the notification will appear..otherwise..nothing...it will happen twice..first the download..then install..then ANOTHER system update... then another long wait like 15 mins...NOTE : to download the system update..u need the DATA PLAN from ur SERVICE PROVIDER, wi-fi just dont work..i was using prepaid..so i had to buy the RM 2 per hour charge..just to download and update .....then kapish..kao dim jor.. suprisingly all my contacts are intact....so is my notepad..and the SENSE works perfect..and so does all my other apps..the themes are also solid...got more settings now compared to 1.5...and yes..to the curious ones..the MARKET is available.. and its TREMENDOUS...ive been missing so much by using the old 1.5... tons of nicer-decent looking apps compared to SlideMe and AndroidApps... so far really happy with the 2.1.. however..lags do happen at CERTAIN times..

phew!..u got me scared there...tested it...works perfectly fine...the crosshair changed in 2.1 i realized..and also the way it zooms and confuses the owner to take snapshot on ver 1.5 is also gone..so i guess it works fine...

Anyone using modaco rom here? I have problem installing HTC CIME on it. it kept crashing after applying the zip.

Maybe going to try other rom with chinese input.

Oh ya regarding handcent messages, after installing how to disable the original notification. When sms comes in always got double notification

Wan to ask.. I used to flash my Hero with overseas original ROM with market.. 1.5version...

Now I try to change my date to august.. n i got the Update..

after finish downloading it restarted... and it startup with the nandroid backup thing..(i dont remember is this the apps i installed to flash my Rom last time)...

anyway im not too sure what to do and i choose the first option..i think is reboot.. then it restarted..with no changes..
anything i need to do like uninstall my previous apps in order to get this update done?

it shudnt have the nandroid backup thingy...odd... there shudnt be any option either accept for agree to terms and agreements...erm...can u state ur ver here as well ?

scare me too :-s crash once only restarted then no more....just found out all the lastest software are so BUGGY ! mvideop player will hang during playplay those high bit rate video WTX :-s the ebuddy 1.7 will miss out offline mgs 1.5 even better can received...

i also cannot update at the first place. So i went to HTC service center and they say my rom got problem and reset it for me.. after tat, i can received update already.
I believe only the original rom can received the update.
