well as a MGS game, it's better than MGS4

totally agree, mgs3 is the best of the series imho. getting emo as well when you learn the truth about the boss. i am still sceptical gettin hd version for ps3 or 3d for 3ds.

just like Liquid's impersonation of Miller in MGS1, the revelation totally knocked me off my chair.

3D for 3DS

believe it or not, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses...

PS3 HD Edition
+ MGS3 in HD
+ silky smooth frame rate
+ complete edition with Demo Theater

- archaic controls(works fine, but not impressive like MGS4's)
- "3D" Camera doesnt work very well since the controls are as they were in MGS3 when it was launched all those year ago

PSVita HD Edition
+ and - from the PS3 version plus one more positive:

+ PORTABLE!

3DS
+ better controls
+ FPS mode, TPS mode
+ touch screen access to food, cure,etc
+ CROUCH WALKING!
+ photo camo
+ 3D jungle, 3D boss 3D Snake

- frame rate drops like crazy in many parts of the game (Not a game breaker, but very noticeable...ruins the illusion sometimes)
- only 1 save file
- Not "complete"; is a very barebones version of the game-no Demo theater, for one.

well. personally for me, best mgs is mgs3 with mgspw closely behind

demo theater. yes is a must. no need replay the game and can watch it like cinema. i was really wondering why mgs4 cant apply the same thing. not owning vita so the portable version will skip atm.

3ds version not very familiar since i play from ps2 era so all the control i really mess up. pw don't really like the zeke build up scheme. eventually we all play mgs is for the storyline.

my favorite is MGS 1.... it's more challenging.. compare to the others....
was quite disappointed that they did not remaster that..

MGS3 is more like a spin-off / filler for MGS series.

The true series is from MGS1, MGS2 & MGS4. After all, the games focuses on Solid Snake.
But yeah, MGS3 is THE BEST of them all, even though it's a filler. Wondering if Kojima would do spin off for The Boss. I mean, what happened to her life before, during the space race, the World war 2 & etc. I'm kinda interested in learning the life of the CQC inventor

Also, if for spin off, maybe Kojima would want to do for Gray Fox as well? He's a badass I'll give you that!
