Ah..my first nokia in many many years. My last nokia was a Nokia 6610i so I guess you can agak2 how long ago it was. Was previously using SE k800i then SE C905 and most recently HTC Diamond2.

Not too happy that the Ovi Suite doesnt really play nice with Win 7 tho. Had to use PC Suite to sync contacts. more updates later when i eventually write my review

Maxis postpaid doesnt hv unlimited package. they hv a few plans. im currently using 500MB/mth plan, its RM58. After u pass ur plan, u hv to pay 0.05 per 10kb.

Its launching in a few weeks but Nokia has already given out some pre-launch units

I asked about this during the Nokia Music Explorer's night and they said not to worry about it. All the IMEIs of the phones that night are already registered under Nokia. So i guess u can just go to a shop and get them to search ur IMEI in their database.

For me, the battery life is terrible.

I went for an event last nite and was live twitting + taking photos + twitpic running only 1 app Gravity (which is awesome btw) and it only lasted from like 6.30 till around 11.30. this is on full charge. Dissapointed.

Hvnt tried listening to music on it constantly tho

i upgraded my firmware using hte ovi suite. where do i see the list of changes ah?

Tried out the Ovi Maps navigation today. Nice turn by turn navigation. very responsive and the maps are quite accurate ( for mutiara damansara). But its a real battery guzzler

lol thats why i mentioned the area. Mutiara dsara is a quite populated area


U can put illegal songs in ur x6. I asked during the NME event. The acquiring license is for your legally downloaded songs.

for me its not too bad a lag.

I usually hv these three apps open
- Gravity open (if u tweet alot, BUY this app, its so worth it)
- Opera Mobile, not the Opera Mini, i dont quite like that. Get the Opera Mobile for symbian
- Slick ~ for YM

All in all, im actually quite happy with the phone, except

1) Hate the bloaty software Nokia has used even since the very beginning with their PC suite.
2) Cant charge while with USB cable

The rest, I am very satisfied with
- Music
- Headphones
- GPS
- Photos

at USD 0.69 = RM 2.21,
assuming the CWM is worth RM600, thats like almost 300 songs.

I dont know about u, but with the CWM, I download on a per-album-basis. For my fav artists, i download the whole discography.

Again assuming 1 album has 12 songs, thats like slightly less than 25 albums to download. All of which on CWM, I can download in a few days.

The problem is, its DRM protected.

The issue should not be the price, i think 1 yr unlimited download is worth it.

For me, personally, the issue is why only 1 pc and one device. Most people now I think use at least 1 device and 2 diff PCs (home/laptop or home/office).

You might had a bad experience with the phone, but that doesnt mean that everyone will have the same problem.

We are sharing our personal experiences which may or may not apply to every single person. no reason to say someone is talking bullshit.

Initial loading is about 30+ seconds, yes i timed it for u.

Tested out the Facebooking while playing music. Doesnt seem to lag unless when its halfway loading something, like if u press "Photos" then it hasnt finished loading and you press something else, the app seems to freeze for a bit. But the music still plays smoothly so I think its probably the limitation of the app itself.

I can probably try and take a video, but it'll be kinda blur coz my other phone is a SE and SE videos are terrible.

I dont quite like the back panel coz it snaps in. but so far, im not using a protector and just toss it around in my bag, hasnt cracked yet

bought a scrn protector frm monique which is quite good. Dunno how but thrs a 1 inch scratch on the phone but the screen itself it not scratched thanks to the protector.

With Opera mini you can zoom in to mark the checkbox. For the X6, its better to use Opera Mobile for symbian rather than Opera Mini. seems to hv better GUI (at least in my opinion)

Homescreen - only 4 shortcuts. I think this is because there are so many other shortcuts in the phone, depending on where you press.
1. On top of screen right - Music, Photos, Upload, Videos, Web
2. top right (near the battery display) - Connections (on/off wifi/bluetooth), notifications for new sms
3. press date to change profile - general, silent, etc
4. press clock for alarm
5. Email under the contacts screen
