I dun think that u need to change ur product code....Nokia is quite good this time in providing+ distributing update for this phone
If im not mistaken using even FOTA, users can already update their X6

Yep....its quite surprising how fast Nokia was able to provide FOTA update for fw v40...usually its quite slow...just look at the FOTA update for v31 firmware LOL

But its so much better than the N97 v2.0 fw.....even now didn't have FOTA yet...considering that the fw already being released last year

Yep...for me FOTA is much much easier than updating thru NSU....besides didn't hve to be at the comp...the data downloaded for the update is much less on FOTA than NSU

Anyway need to send my X6 back to the Nokia Center for repair....the earpiece went kaput

If im not mistaken
1) Connect ur X6 using the supplied usb cable...When being asked on type of connection, choose "Media Transfer"
2) Open up ur Nokia Ovi Player. You should see ur X6 detected on the app.
3) Navigate to it...find the song that u hve downloaded and transfer it

Before someone said that why that much hassle...just use sync func etc etc....I have to say that not many of us really familiar on Sync function yet (and that include me LOL )...And I've seen a lot of people accidentally wiped out songs on their Ipod due to syncing with wrong computer

Now my X6 become a glorified Ipod Touch oni (or mybe can say Ipad as it hve 3g sim in it LOL)
No sweat though, I still use my N97 as my primary phone though

Satio= One of the best camera phone out there + Solid innards ( Plenty of RAM + powerful CPU)
X6= One of the best music phone in terms of quality + Comes with music + 3.5mm jack ( Satio just fastport? FFFUUUU)

Its just a matter of ur personal preference

OLOL...do u mean the video of the symbian^4 floating around the internet rite now? ...It is just a concept on how symbian^4 will look like in the future...Heck even symbian^4 is still under heavy development and we hve yet to see a symbian^3 powered device being released...yet alone reviewed

Anyway as I am saying just now, the videos is just a concept. Period


BTW if im not mistaken, Symbian^3 need hardware- accelerated graphics for its UI...I doubt that X6 which didn't have any graphic accelerating hardware will be getting Symbian^3

Not really...Nokia basically revamp the UI of Symbian to support touch and also non touch interface
Hence don't worry as I don't think that non touchscreen phones will be unsupported

As i said before, symbian^3 and symbian^4 support BOTH touch screen AND non touch screen phone

Been happily using X6 since before the official launch (I'm one of the lucky explorers who were given free X6 before the launch LOL)...
And I gotta say that for me I am oni hving slight lag esp when multitasking...mybe bcoz also using N97 clearly helped me to judge my usage better LOL ...
You also have to realize that the worst moment in any Nokia devices was when it just being launched..*cough n97 cough* ...after the updates started rolling on, it will only get better...Heck, plenty of support is one of the main reason why I use Nokia till now lol

And to compare with, N97, Nokia own flagship oni gets its fw v21 update last month...when the last fw update, v20 was released if im not mistaken around nov. last year...Its nearly 4 months gap LOOL

As I said...just wait lool...and hope for the best...

BTW, after long time of waiting, at last sent my X6 for repair on the earpiece at the NCC....now can oni pray for the best

Just updated my X6 via FOTA
One thing I noticed was that after the phone reboots, there is an "installing" popup, and then "system error" pop up flashes several times. Have anyone encounter this beside me?

And when trying to do on device backup before installing fw v20, I can't backup if choose all to backup as it says not enuff memory, please close other programs. And that prob persists even after I reboot my phone. I wonder why?

Wow...If I've to list the biggest flaw in this phone, I've to say that this phone have abysmal build quality
Creaky all over places, gaps, heck even there was dust under the screen
The reason I ended up ranting was that today, my X6 just fall from the table and holy shiet, the chrome side just popped out!
Luckily me n my DIY- oriented mind managed to snap it back into place

Holding X6 at one hand and N97 on another makes me scratches my head wildly.
Truely, Nokia made a very good job with the N97 (for those who object this, I suggest oni this, try slide the keyboard up. You will feels the solidness of this phone)...Now try compare it with X6

Heck I've always wanted to have it since it was leaked last year...When we only know its name as RX-51 and Nokia Rover.
But TBH I've already tried N900 and I've to say that the sliding mechanism in N97 was more satisfactory than N900.
Anyway, a small trade off for having a pocketable computer rite?

AFAIK...X6 were selling quite good, esp the 16gb variant. Correct me if I'm wrong though, as I just ask only one phone dealer (chatting while waiting him to apply sp for my X6 haha3).

Anyway, I gotta say CwM is awesome...IF u are a heavy music downloader (N like me, loves to support ori hahaha3)

AFAIK...the songs are quite up to date, and the latest song collection was frequently updated.
Correct me if I'm wrong though...although I felt that I'm right at this one lolx
