I have read many reviews and watch a few hand-on videos on YouTube regarding N900. As with any other devices, it has pros and cons. But for me, as a Linux user and Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) fan, I'll gladly pay to have N900 at that price.
What I like so much about N900:
- QWERTY keyboard
- availability of Linux terminal - SSH is very important to me
- availability of Linux development tools (VIM, Python and etc)
- availability of Linux network/security tool (NMAP)
- governance by FOSS community - users, developers have a channel to communicate with Nokia
- Maemo5 is an "open and transparent" Linux in a phone, unlike Android which is a very locked-down Linux.
- ability to port desktop Linux application to Maemo5.
Basically, for a Linux geek... he/she most probably willing to pay high price for this phone.
