QUOTE(celion @ Sep 5 2009, 11:08 PM) hey i juz read a news that claims those muscleman have shorter life than skinny guy...i actually laughed at the news. from some chinese newspaper right. something about too much tight muscles and eating too much protein or something. my parents read it and started to tell me not to eat 4 eggs a day, not to eat so much protein, not to build muscle, etc... the bloody article susahkan me only. to begin with i dont even consider myself a serious bodybuilder, more like a casual lifter eating slightly above average protein intake than the typical Malaysian. none of ur parents kacau u after reading the article? |

Guys, what does body age indicates and how does it actually work? My gym just had a new digital scale and I took a measurement right after my workout today. I'm 20, but my body age is 30, which is really really bad, right? On what basis did they come up with such results? How do I reduce my body age?
The PT didn't know much about body age either, he said he didn't read the manual for the machine yet, so he didn't know how to interpret it. He looked older than me but he said his body age is 30 too... And he said my high body age could be due to lack of sleep. I admit I do lack sleep during the weekdays when I have classes, but the minimum amount of sleep I get on class days is 6 hrs. Very occasionally, 5 hrs. Not including the 1hr evening naps I take on most days... Not a drinker or smoker. I tried googling and this is one of the pages I got... http://www.mirror.co.uk/life-style/real-li...15875-19582824/ Damn...... Am I that stressed out? Ok I just did the test in that link above and got 17.5.... Btw that guy in the vid above looks awesome. This post has been edited by wallpaper89: Sep 18 2009, 08:07 PM |

majority of us here don't actively try to get rid of sore muscles. we wait for it to heal naturally. btw, does yoko yoko or muscle relaxants help reduce the soreness?

QUOTE I am a beginner, so buying 2 of each first. Then will buy more when needed. Since you have 4 of each. May I know what is the roughly price for them? Thanks. I think he meant that you don't have enough plates to use both the dumbbells at once. Let's say you only have 2 x 5kg plates, and you wanna do an exercise which requires both dumbbells at once, eg bench press. So basically you'd fit the 2 x 5 kg plates on one dumbbell for a total of 10kg. Then, you'd have no plates left to fit onto the second dumbbell. QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Oct 28 2009, 03:29 PM) Muscular soreness from tissue breakdown and muscular soreness from tissue tightness and tension, are two different things. So... I'm guessing those muscle relaxants are meant to relieve only the latter? This post has been edited by wallpaper89: Oct 28 2009, 04:13 PM |

QUOTE(user401 @ Dec 31 2009, 02:54 PM) it would be better to just focus on gaining muscle mass immediately. working towards gaining fat and then realizing later that you do not need it and have to shed it off equals a lot of wasted effort, when you could have used all those effort in building muscle mass instead. hope this clears it up.gaining fat is much easier than gaining muscle, but nobody wants fats... |
