I'm having no problems in surfing the net/ downloading/ etc, I even run on 150-250 kbp/s on Blizzard Downloader. But when it comes to playing the game, latency is never good. It's constant red (600-2000ms), it is (500-800ms) in the early morning. So i only do raids in LAN cafes, and I can't do nothing at home. Through Speedtest, I have full speed. Something must be blocking my connection in WoW. Can anybody help me out? Modem: Riger ADSL Modem 2/2+ DB102 ISP: Streamyx ( 2Mb subscription ) This post has been edited by chubba: Sep 1 2009, 09:17 PM

Try checking out the other topics in the WoW forums first. There are many topics about this already.
The basic problem is you think high bandwidth = good latency. People can have amazing download rate but still high latency. Your data still travels through many places to get to the WoW server (which creates latency).

Tried maxis 3G by tethering via my iphone it was good .. while streamyx was giving me 800-1200ms .. maxis 3G was 400-600ms... then again.. it must be 3G... tried on a different area with just EDGE (no 3G signal) was as bad as streamyx.. btw Penman.. 3G is broadband... did a speedtest on my iphone.. was clocking close to 2.25mbps on 3G anyway TS ... i'm still on streamyx.. dont really know y i'm subscribing to it... haizzzz probably bcoz its the only landlined broadband... if streamyx is good n reliable i wud hv upgraded to 2mb... but its shitzzz .. been sticking to my 0.5mb plan since 2005 .. short term solution (i've just subscribe to it) : get a VPN WoW service til Streamyx gets better... hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1031599hv fun!!!!

Actually, I was refering to Maxis 3G (unet) vs Maxis Wireless Broadband. and I was on HSDPA. but frankly speaking... like it or not... Streamyx is still the best among the worst... seriously.
