I am going to offer the buyer for his freehold landed property, with a mango tree in the front lawn.
The link house is currently tenanted.

What I found out is the tenant will burn the tree leaves once in a while.
Which I would not want them to do that when I buy over.

So before I submit my offer letter, like to hear some opinion.

If I cut it down, what is the cost for cutting down a 10 years old tree (including roots extraction)?
If leave the root there, any termite problem?

Better cut the tree, the root will make your floor break and make the surface bumpky.
My house have a 20+yrs old mango tree before too, very sad to cut it off as it give us alot of sweet and big (600g to 1kg) mango. But at last we also decide to cut it off as the tile and floor become un-even and break up.

Charges to cut a tree i think will be starting from RM500 for a big tree. I remember we asked someone about that and they quote us RM500, without digging the root out.

Once you cut, you can use the stump remover to remove the root.

it's Nitrate base powder where you put at the expose trunk and cover with plastic. the root will disintegrate from trunk down in 1-3 months by itself and it's environment friendly.

just report to the local authority, let them deal with it. We already paid cukai taksiran, why need to dig out some money for this...

I forgot to mention, it's planted by the current owner in the property premises.

First time I heard a stump remover.
After checking the web, it's very common in the hardware store in western countries.
