Wonder how will the Tokina 12-24 f4 perform when compare wif the 11-16 f2.8, coz been thinking lately for an UWA but because of the D60 I'm using, I gotta consider about the focusing issue as well.

QUOTE(chriscym @ Sep 19 2009, 11:53 PM) guys I am getting my first DSLR which I made up my mind to be D90. I am a newbie so pls bare with me. Is it worth to get the 18-55mm instead of the standard kit lens 18-105mm? I read some comment that 18-55mm produce better IQ. Just get the 18-105, it's really a good kit lens with very good focal length.

QUOTE(KTCY @ Oct 3 2009, 12:21 PM) Not mine but I can use it almost anytime. I wouldn't buy 17-55 basically, prefer 24-70 Yeap. 11-16 is way better if compare with sigma 10-20. Any input about the 12-24 f4 tokina?

QUOTE(faiz92 @ Oct 18 2009, 01:36 AM) Specialized, did u on the long NR? long NR helps to reduce noise . Reduce noise = more details Reduce noise = more detail? I thought reduce noise will lead to lesser detail and vice versa?

QUOTE(faiz92 @ Oct 18 2009, 02:40 AM) Refer here http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d5000/high-iso-comparison.htmi think not 'more detail' but other words hmmm, » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « See,the picture lose detail. this is just my POV. still noob actually What you mean now is High ISO with and without NR comparison. Meaning both ISO3200, and compare NR or without NR got more detail. This post has been edited by shinjun: Oct 18 2009, 02:48 AM

QUOTE(dinraxxx @ Oct 18 2009, 03:54 AM) Since you already have the gear to reach 300mm, anything above, I think with budget limited to RM1.5k couldn't make it lah. Why not buying teleconverter then? This is just what I think I will go for if I wan more reach but budget limited to RM1.5k http://shashinki.com/shop/nikon-tc17e-tele...anty-p-243.htmlIf for a budget teleconverter, can look for this. http://shashinki.com/shop/kenko-teleplus-d...facturers_id=23This post has been edited by shinjun: Oct 18 2009, 12:03 PM

Normal consumer camera with only auto setting loh. Or maybe can say as "snap shoot" as one see and hold the camera to shoot without composing and think of lighting and all sorts.
