Wonder how will the Tokina 12-24 f4 perform when compare wif the 11-16 f2.8, coz been thinking lately for an UWA but because of the D60 I'm using, I gotta consider about the focusing issue as well.

i;m using those phottix premium battery grip. built nearly 95% the same as ori grip.. so far no problem.. both front and back dial working perfectly.. bought it rm 280/300 with extra 1 phottix battery.. ( bought it newfrom LYN forumer)

I've been using it and quite impressed actually. I had never encountered any problems by the third party BG and I'd strongly recommend this as the alternative?.

tbh nikon grips feel a little too plasticky. Even the d200 one when i first used it i thought it was a aftermarket -.-. turns out it was ori. The current d80/d90 one Im using feels and works just like the real deal!

oh and the tokina 12-24 f/4 is a wonderful little piece of work. Sharp throughout, close in peformance to the nikkor (based on reviews) and has miles better quality than tamron or sigma.

Hmm.. but i tot we're not able to to press down the shutter release button if subject is not focus locked or no "beep" sound in AF?
Unless the lens is giving false focused signal to camera?

indeed all of these its ur setting. check the auto ISO setting is it on or off... better off it.
