Just bought a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 non VC. Did some test shot with it.  smile.gif
Overall is not bad for a walkaround lens, but i guess i will love 35mm f1.8 more if i got chance to test it.

But some how i get out of focus issue on this picture... the focus point is placed on figurine's head.
i took 2 shots at the same spot but still getting similar result, i wonder is this caused by environment lighting or my lens got problem or it just happen on all tamron 17-50.  rclxub.gif
all taken at f2.8?

G means no aperture ring... if u rly wan to get 50 f1.4...i suggest u to get the AF 50 f1.4D..cheaper and faster focusing speed(although it has no motor)...

always go shashinki to check the price.. shop should be cheaper if u bargain with them.

IC.
So if on DX using 85MM would be too long focal for portrait?

very subjective...if u shoot at a big space/outdoor then it is no problem. If indoor...a bit hard la..not that it is impossible. But the bokeh is yummm drool.gif
