Is it me or what but is the picture overexposed? blink.gif
Having bokeh, would make this picture much more beautiful and give attention to the subject (child).

To do bokeh, you must learn about Aperture (Wikipedia).
A lens with a wide aperture like F1.8 on the Canon EF 50mm F1.8 will have but definitely not as nice as Canon EF 50mm F1.4, brows.gif

I see, if you want do aperture priority.
Bring you mode dial to "A". It's "Av" for Canon-users. tongue.gif

What lens are you using? blink.gif
Even Kit Lens can get bokeh (18-55 IS/VR).

Bonfire Night in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

It was cold out and it started to rain midway through the fireworks display. One of the longest fireworks display I've seen so far. Roughly 20+ minutes long.

Try to get the number 21 and you win any huge soft toy of your choice.

Unfortunately, without a tripod or long exposure, and the fact that i was standing on level ground in the arena, no chance of doing long exposure techniques.

Camera Model - Canon LEGRIA HF S100
Lens - Canon HD Video Lens 6.4-64mm
Aperture - f/4.0
Shutter Speed - 1/100s
ISO - 100 (Auto settings, cannot manually set)

I think the pictures snapped with this camcorder is good thumbup.gif although it does lack in certain settings like ISO selection and limit aperture to f/2.8 for photo mode. The sun rays that came out looking like an X, I think it's because of the diagonal aperture, only four blades, but that's just my guess.

You should pump the ISO up (somewhere around 400)
Seems like you exposure is quite long already but luckily the handshake/vibration couldn't be seen.
