since u wanna compose in that way..i would suggest u turn urself a lil bit..so that the whole photo would be symmetrical(note that the patterns on the ceiling isnt symmetric now)..and also i think 1/13 is a lil bit too slow for u to handle..looks a lil bit blurred..or perhaps the DoF wasnt enough to cover the whole lamp which gave me a false impression that it was due to slow shutter...

but of coz..i say all this AFTER i saw the picture..if i was there to shoot..i probably wont notice about those things i mention at all..lol

Great. Thanks for the feedback. Its one of the thing that keep my mind off during a relative visit Was hoping to be able to stand directly under the light but that would be removing a 8 seater marble table Plus the lightning is awfully dark hence the high aperture / low shutter speed.
