To me, settings shown can be bullshit.
I never learn thru writting down all the setting people used and go to the other place and apply the same setting.

If a person do so, that person really idiot. Different places, different lighting. What's the point ? yawn.gif

agree with the diff place diff light ,(ev) , but for me the focal length , aperture and shutter quite info quite usefull . this is my way learning from other ....

just tried but failed.. sweat.gif

@achew, if you don mind, the aluminium foil reflector with tiny holes? and place in front of the light source? sweat.gif

err nope..i use aluminum foilz coz i can create wrinkles easily when im pasting it.....and im doing it the opposite way..im not putting a light BEHIND the reflector..im putting a light source IN FRONT of it(thats how a "reflector" works right? =p )..so the light would be reflected in diff direction when it hits the wrinkles..and there u go..bokehs.. ^^

well..no point to follow the exif blindly..but if the viewers r clever enough..i guess newbies can learn 1 or 2 things from it too..and its proven that if u came across something randomly a few times..it helps u to remember it better compare to u go read something n trying hard to memorize it..for experienced shooters..i guess u can roughly tell the setting by just lookin at the shots..but for newbies..i guess it helps a lil..

p/s: and since its stated in the first page(iirc) to show the exif..i guess no harm to post it rather than people quoting u again n again n ask for exif(just like people asking for setup)

Im just a beginner so I dont know much but I do can learn a lot from EXIF posted with the photo as I can expect what I can get with those similar setting. Learning to take all those great pics alone without any reference is very very very hard.
First thing I do when I got my DSLR is leran what these words(f length,f stop, aperture, etc etc) means so when I see those EXIF it does help me a lot.(For example, to get bokeh, use the bigger aperture. Choose background with lots of small2 light source and shape depends on your lens.
Rght sifus?!!

fyi, ALL fisheyes are primes, no matter what the brand is.

2.8 under bright light? why not? what if the user wants a soft bg? u can always raise the shutter speed to compensate. EXIFs work as a guide. since you're pro enough, then you might not need it, we're all here to share and new comers will find it useful at least as a guide on where to start to get the shots they're trying to get.

and anyway it is clearly stated to include on the 1st page anyway, but since you dont feel like doing so, then why post and make a ruckus about it?

All fishy are prime ? You sure ?
http://shashinki.com/shop/tokina-1017mm-fi...ping-p-397.html

yawn.gif do check the fact before even post and STFU if you don't know much.

Soft background or OOF background ? hmm.gif
Guide as in follow blindly ? tongue.gif
Usually I don't save EXIF to web because I used to get lot of stupid question like what lens being used, what aperture, what shutter speed. Basically all that can't help up.

And I been posting like this since few version ago rclxs0.gif

somehow i think u guys take it too seriously....maybe all pros have their ego but i really not sure whats so hard to type out the exif data since its always been the rule here and newcomers already agree its helpful to them somehow..

i'll stop myself involving on this topic since continue doesnt really help anyone..for the new comers if u really need exif badly(for any reason)..jsut ask..or learn how to retrieve the exif from the photo..if the owner consider its a trade secret and he/she doesnt feel like sharing..well..just trial n error..i guess u'd learn much more from it...

If you prefer not to "wipe your ass after shitting" den I wont criticize. biggrin.gif
