Im just a beginner so I dont know much but I do can learn a lot from EXIF posted with the photo as I can expect what I can get with those similar setting. Learning to take all those great pics alone without any reference is very very very hard.
First thing I do when I got my DSLR is leran what these words(f length,f stop, aperture, etc etc) means so when I see those EXIF it does help me a lot.(For example, to get bokeh, use the bigger aperture. Choose background with lots of small2 light source and shape depends on your lens. Rght sifus?!! |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Jan 25 2010, 07:55 PM) aperture and shutter quite useful ? fyi, ALL fisheyes are primes, no matter what the brand is. Same thing apply I can use aperture f/2.8 but if you're under broad day light, don't tell me you gonna use f/2.8 too ya Already stated Nikkor fisy And nikkor fishy is prime lens. 2.8 under bright light? why not? what if the user wants a soft bg? u can always raise the shutter speed to compensate. EXIFs work as a guide. since you're pro enough, then you might not need it, we're all here to share and new comers will find it useful at least as a guide on where to start to get the shots they're trying to get. and anyway it is clearly stated to include on the 1st page anyway, but since you dont feel like doing so, then why post and make a ruckus about it? somehow i think u guys take it too seriously....maybe all pros have their ego but i really not sure whats so hard to type out the exif data since its always been the rule here and newcomers already agree its helpful to them somehow..
i'll stop myself involving on this topic since continue doesnt really help anyone..for the new comers if u really need exif badly(for any reason)..jsut ask..or learn how to retrieve the exif from the photo..if the owner consider its a trade secret and he/she doesnt feel like sharing..well..just trial n error..i guess u'd learn much more from it... |

in my opinion, if you don't feel like posting the EXIF, you rather don't post the picture at all. Its like you dun wipe your ass after your shit.
If you prefer not to "wipe your ass after shitting" den I wont criticize. |
