QUOTE(Wan @ Sep 23 2009, 12:07 AM)
Yeah, he's a bit dodgy when the ball is pass back to him and he has a striker running at him full speed..
I agree with that and the adrenaline rush comment - whenever the ball goes back to him, my heart beats a little faster! I think Foster has been doing an okay job. Replacing VDS was always going to be a huge task, and all the scrutiny is on him. Every mistake gets amplified by the supporters, press, other teams.

Foster makes some brilliant saves. Especially reflex saves (against Arsenal for instance). His judgement on coming out to claim/punch the ball while in the air is still a little dodgy, as is back passes/clearances. Hopefully it won't affect the defenders, who might take more chances with the ball because they don't think they can pass it back to him!

Mistakes are made in every game - if Foster is liable for City's first goal, Ferdinand should be barracked for his part in their third. Chances are that defenders will give the ball away more than keepers (he had Tevez to deal with!), so I am not too worried about him between the sticks... after all, Fergie has started him in all the games so far, and only he has the final say!

oi, what happened??? i know THAT kid scored a goal and act damn lansi on the pitch after the goal lar....apart from that, any "commotion" ar???

You referring to Welbeck? Didn't seem lansi to me - he did a "Usain Bolt" pose to celebrate, but that was about it. Too bad Macheda had to be pulled out because Fabio was sent off.

That Welbeck pose is classic! And now they have it as a wallpaper on manutd.com! Wonder if he did it on purpose - "I should get a wallpaper/poster of myself on the website! Time to pose" haha

Agree with Wan - I think the way he has been used was precisely the reason he was signed. Berba/Rooney to start and put Owen in when we need a different look and option in attack, last 20/30 minutes type stuff. And I'm sure Owen's happy to get stuck in and happy to be playing for a medal instead of surviving relegation!

I do see SAF starting Owen against lower-table teams in the league and probably a lot in the Carling Cup. He'll know how to finish them off, and share the experience with the kids.
