Out of a sudden I do feel Fletcher is the one that have the potential to take over Keano's task ....

Van Der Gouw was a great player. I remember whenever he was called up. He did a great job. Without him it wouldn't be easy for us to win the treble.

We need not only first class GK but also a great backup.

I too wondering how will PIG feels as he came in to be no.2 and now further dropped.

Despite Foster's many mistakes, he is still no. 3....

Foster may have the capability but his experience and all not enough for him to be consistent enough. He will be good but it takes time. Just hope he won't screw up those games only

True.. Witnessing him a few times.... He has given me some hard attacks at some occasions like this where he would just take time and hold the ball instead of clearing it.

Foster seriously needs to learn that..... In big games you can't afford any silly mistake like this.

I couldn't care about what people going to say about us. Whether luck or not.

This is football and it happens to every team. Goods and bads happen, you just have to go through it.

People keep talking about us cause we are too famous! It shows they are worried!

PIG deserves to play in this Carling cup imo.

He has not had a chance to prove himself yet and he has been described in the media as no. 3 behind Foster.

Perhaps it is but I feel this is the best opportunity for Fergie to place him at this moment due to his lack of games and also compare to Foster's recent mistakes.

You have got me wrong

Getting PIG now is not about judging Foster.

But is providing another chance for PIG.

You can't keep playing him and not PIG.

It is not about judging his ability.

As U know I never said drop Foster because of one bad game.

IMHO, It is just PIG haven't been given much chance to prove himself despite he too has the experience.

There is no doubt on Foster's ability to develop into a good GK, else he wouldn't be given the chance. But my opinion focus more on opportunities v current situation.

So it would also be very unfair if PIG not getting the chance despite Foster's recent mistakes. Remember the one against Malaysia XI too.

It wouldn't be easy to take it for PIG and he might leave us for another team.. who knows?

I am sure if he carries on, he won't be a backup player.. but is very useful when Fergie needs to do a change of plan.. Berbatov's style is completely different to Owen... both can rotate and even Rooney too need some rest along the journey of our Glory....

It is a golden opportunity for Foster to have SAF's faith.....
The boy is talented but just lack of experience to handle certain circumstances.... plus the media around him of course will bring more pressure...

However.. PIG is also a keeper we must not forget.... We are far more better in term of GK department .. the worst time(the one I could remember) was when we had Roy Carroll and Tim Howard...

Though talented especially Tim Howards but sometimes there are other factors affecting their game play... considering that they are not only bound to the match pressure but also facing a 75k crowd almost every week plus the media ........
