Maybe there are other hidden summons? Or other hidden things that we do not know. Are you new to FF series? Or perhaps new to the gaming world?
Almost in every single final fantasy , before its release various game magazine would report about its battle systems, summon beasts etc to make it the selling point. And how did you know if there is only 6 ,there might be a hidden 1, or something suprising.

Yah, when I see Cid, I knew that this guy has that Seymour-wannabe aura judging from his appearence.But never know until we play the game.

Yaag also  doesnt have that bad guy look(except for his english voice over) and I assume he will join force with the good guy as soon as he found out about the evil scheme behind coccoon.Remember his dialogs in the trailer.He just want to save humanity.
