IMHO is not worth it to get a PS3 just for this game, esp if you're a RPG lover

Considering the amount of work and effort that have been put on this big FF13 and FFv13 titles, it's certainly worth to get a console for the title. What you can do will be selling your PS3 after those title to cut the lost to minimal.

You will never know, like my case, I bought my PS3 solely for MGS4 and FF13, but now I have bought more than 10 PS3 titles. I'm not saying that you WILL spend a fortune on games, but I'm saying the urge will eventually come. Maybe you can borrow from you friends or rent, it'll be a great idea to expose yourself to some other genres and amazing titles with cutting-edge presentations (such as Uncharted 2, dante's inferno, GoW, KZ2, bayonetta etc); and not to mention playing blu-ray movies, which restrains you from spending another fortune on another player.

In terms of value (which I think you may be spending more than 100 hours on FF13, and another 100 hours on FFv13), durability (I'm looking at you, Xbox360), and functionality (online functionality, HD gaming and Movie), it's certainly worth to get your hands on a PS3 when the title is up,  if without any delays, 43 days later.

I never regretted for owning a PS3 even I have had a gaming PC myself, it's a different experience despite its hardware limits compared to a gaming PC. Still it comprises a library of quality-standard games, which PC games have failed to achieve due to a bunch of indie developers that may technically turn a brilliant idea to an awry IP.

So that is what I think, may rationality drives your decision. Good luck =)

Hong Kong English version is the Region 3 copy. But praying they don't give Region 2 UK (has happened to me before)

R3 version is cheaper but u may get some chinese words on your box art.

The japanese version is always more expensive (Japan pricing). But they get it this year. We english speakers will only see it March 2010

Anyone can tell me how am I going to choose the FF13 version with Japanese language and English subtitles ? Probably in PA ..

Why is it safer to preorder the US version?

main story part still ok but sometimes those Submission tat have u travelling and collecting certain item (like the FF12 part where u have to look for ppl to trade for the coin one) u will get jammed.
SE should just make a Chinese version like what the Gran Turismo offer. Since there are lots of Sub group and fans group out there doing translation. Those party should be able to translate the whole game since they can do Super Robot War which is a text heavy game (but take a lot of time since most of them are volunteer onli).

Most of my friend is chinese but the way they pronounce the name is diff due to diff. in pronoun cation between japs people and chinese people eventhough the kanji word is the same.Probably Lightning=Liang Xe or Snow =Fei Mao.

Asia English version comes out the same time as the US English Version. Only difference is cheaper and maybe chinese words on your box. (and maybe get Region 2 UK. man i am going on and on abt this   )

Actually the prices of games are not fixed. They are adjusted to living costs of different countries. That's why US version is slightly more expensive than HK version. This is what I heard from other forumers.

1 thing i concern about preorder at PA. I saw the english version price was much more cheaper than Japan Version. Is that just addon CD? Do I need to purchase the Japan Version as well???
