Guys, watch this new demo interview: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-09-final-fantasy/55243Listen closely and at one point Motomu Toriyama says that there are glitches in the visuals and will definitely be fixed by the time it is released. So maybe for those still worried.... theres the word from the main himself. Though it means one more thing, SE all along knew about the visuals not being up to par.... so why are they showing a build like that so late in its development stage?

Its not that simple this time. DLC for different VO is not easy. SE did correct lip sync and went to remodel the way character lips move on the english version. The Jap version has their own lip sync.
Releasing a DLC with just a pack of voices which if its uncompressed, will be extremely big in file sizes. Not to mention that amount of lip sync needed to be redone as well. So no, DLC won't work.

They would still need to worry about filesizes though. Uncompressed audio is amazingly huge and don't forget that SE needs to pay Sony for every bit of bandwidth used when users download their stuff from PSN.
The only other likely alternative is always.... an International version. But if history has told me correctly, ever since FFX International... every International version of FF (or even Kingdom Hearts for the matter) has not have any english subs/menus.
They only had the english VO, but subs/menus remains Jap. SE to break out of this trend? Unlikely I say, considering that they're one of the developers that hasn't really kept a promise and giving most of the lame excuses in this generation.

QUOTE(cloudaeris @ Aug 31 2009, 06:15 PM) kitase said that all the team members for the original ff7 are currently working on ff13 and some others, n know just wht to do once their current project is completed, do u guys think there's a chance of ff7 remake being announced in the coming TGS? Uhm.... its obvious isn't it? Agito XIII. Kitase himself said that they're moving onto Agito after FFXIII is done. As for FF7 remake.... I wish people would just stop talking about this.

Enlighten me.... If there should be a remake, it should be FF6 or FF9.

Apparently.... I don't think so. I think the world map resembles FFX more, where it is all connected from one dungeon to another.
Because SE thinks that running around the world map with a character the size same as a city is "fake" and "childish". They're telling themselves, they grew up. No more free roaming in world maps.

Cut-throat, cut-throat. SE knows people will buy it like hotcakes, and this is how they treat their fans. Overcharging their games. It is a good business tactic of course. And if the game blows big time, thats $90 down the drain.

They're most expensive yes. RM230 is roughly 6000 Yen, which is the normal price there. But when you take into account that FFXIII is going to cost 8240 Yen, thats already overprice even on their own account.
Do you want to know how much that is here? It is a ass-blindingly RM313 direct conversion. And you haven't add the mark-up costs, tax and delivery to bring the game in.

We may be thinking a little too much though.... right now really, the only thing which has been pretty much confirmed that compromised FFXIII is its graphics and not being able to be in dual language.
But.... isn't a game more important in its gameplay, and in an RPG isn't the story the critical point? Sure this FF is very likely to be even worst than FFXII, but....

QUOTE(vaan321 @ Sep 5 2009, 08:44 PM) FFXII? in my opinion(my opinion only pls dont shoot me ), FFXII alre lost the charm of the tradition of ff...there should be one main character where the story revolved the main character...but FFXII...the main character(VAAN?) from the begining till the end...i cant feel his importance...feel like he is just a participant for the ride...swt... THE FF THAT I LIKED THE MOST IS FFVII followed by FFVIII and FFVI And.... why is your name Vaan? Anyways, you are right. The characters in FFXII shows of no importance, they're more revolved around everyone and thats what SE chose to take. The setting and storyline however, is the roots of FF which is sad to see forgotten after FFVII (sure the new style of sci-fi technology and everything-stylish is the way to go).

Don't get me wrong, FFVIII is actually my personal favourite FF. Its simple actually, majority of us aren't even around when FF1 and FF2 made its debut. And FF3-FF5 didn't really get to us because we simply don't know what RPGs are during that stage of our lifes.
But when FF7 came around, we were in our so called "puberty" stage.... where anything which was stylish in a game means = uber cool. Thats one of the main reasons why FF7 transpired so much for the RPG genre. Its just the simple way really. If you were in your mid-20s in your FF7, I'd say theres a high chance that FF6 was still way better.
Very obvious, when FF9 went back to its roots.... FF7 fans didn't like it. When FFX mixed both, it was received with mixed reactions. See where I'm going here?
Of course without a doubt, FFVIII and FFX is excellent. I'm just saying that it is sad that SE is forgetting the roots of the series, which is medievil settings.

The Elixir is actually..... water only. Or so my friend from Japan says. You're paying for a bottle so expensive it starts to become funny.

Pales in comparison to X, IX (the best ever IMO), VIII and of course VII. And don't get me started on IV, V and VI.
Although the battle music is a nice change however.

QUOTE(cloudaeris @ Sep 9 2009, 05:46 PM) dun forget kiss me goodbye in ff12, it's like the oni thing that makes me feel "it's ff" for ff12 FF12.... the opening song, really brought tears to my eyes because it has been like aeons since I last heard the original FF score in an FF game, in an opening theme. Kiss Me Goodbye.... pretty good, but certainly far from memorable as FFVIII's Eyes on Me. Even Crisis Core Ayaka's Why is freaking good. So I'd say this FFXIII, blew it.... theme song wise.
