bad news for you guys who hoping for Japs audio/English sub.No international version.


As asserted by Kitase when he was interviewed in the Chinese edition of Famitsu (p 12). Note that this interview was not in the Japanese edition.

Q: It seems as though this time around, there will not be an International version of the game?
A: In the past when the English version was released far later than the Japanese version, there was time for us to make additions to the gameplay of the game. However, since this time round the difference between the two releases is so short, there is no time for that, and thus we are not considering developing an International version of FFXIII.

I hope those of you who ordered their Lightning Pink Limited Edition Final Fantasy XIII PS3 console have an extra US$ 168. That's because that's the additional cost that's been added on top of the original US$ 529.90 price tag. Yeowch.

The price hike comes as a surprise, and the reason behind it equally so. Major online retailer NCSX sent out an email to their customers explaining that the price hike was due to Square Enix lowering the number of the Lightning Bundle shipments to four for every 100 copies of Final Fantasy XIII (game also on Xbox 360) purchased.With demand so high, and supply so little, the only logical (and expected turnout) is that prices will spike up.

The Lightning Edition bundle, which includes a special edition PS3 console, therefore racks up US$ 698.77 in total sum. Are you still game for it? If you really are, you still have some three more months anyway to save up for the additional cost.
