i'm using default FOV 60, havent tried diff value, oh...the FPS drop badly while racing with 12 cars (20 to 30 FPS Max Setting Level 4 AA)

. just bought a G27.. sorta early xmas gift lol! Any tips on how to start with? Currently trying out NFS:shift heheh.. want to know what sim i should start with to get my feet wet.Been browsing thru youtube/forums on what ever sim stuff. I liked simhq and insidesimracing. Alrights.. hope someday i can join you guys for some laps. |

Yes.. i think its because in my office we have a load balancer. Prolly some session were redirected to another IP range.. hence considered as new connection

great race all. personally i disappointed with myself. after the last pitstop i went to get 6th. and honestly speaking if i wasnt trying to get to 5th place that quick (pushing like a madman right after pitting with cold tyres), i can at least finish in 6th or 7th (i know i wasnt taht quick), but mistake sent me straight to 11th. i did my best and could only grab 8th (or 9th?). T_T. great race nevertheless.

yup its a great race.. first of all sorry to bro antonio..
i unintended clipping your rear right side on the way to pass you..which then cause you to spun and hentam by PC.. other than that its a great race. even though there are a few mistakes by me which result in my car spun.. i recover well and finish the race.. anyway congrats maranello55 for winning the race.. memang ai.. |

After 4 times running in spa with MSR.....Ive won it....it was not easy. and definitely NOT RELAXING! Muaz constantly giving pressure. Not easy but the most i can do is not to do any mistakes. Not a single one. Great race all....great attendance... Forum is being fixed at the moment. Currently database last update was on migration date.
If anto's suggestion works we probably could save some of the data from current database. But if not sorry la erk. Have to restart from the date we migrated the server. Im still looking if i did anything wrong on the codes of the announce last time. do bear with us for the moment. Thank you. MSR webteam |

My timing is not competetive at all!! I was overtaken by everybody throughout the race...even when i'm low on fuel I got overtaken by ppl who just fill up their tank in the pits...
!!! All my overtaking is bcoz of "curi ayam". Is it the car??? or it's just me?? Almost give up last nite bcoz of this  |

RACE comments: Not happy at all with my race yesterday. It started well, from the back of the grid at the sprint, I finish 8th. I manage to get 5th after the start of the feature race. And the problem started. I go wide during 1st or 2nd lap. The "horde" of cars just behind me, I don't have choice but to let pass everybody before to go back on track. 3rd or 4th lap, I lose control in "Eau rouge" which destroys my car. I still can make it to the pit but so early in the race, I can't even use this pit stop to change my strategy. After that, it was mistake on mistake, I could never get the tires at good temp, lost control in eau rouge 1 or 2 more time plus at 1 or 2 more times at some other corners ... I barely make it to the finish but I new I would grab quite some points if I can make it because of the P1 cars in front of me not counting for the points, so I continue with a car wreck until the finish line. The main problem was that I was at the limit of the car grip in eau rouge during practice, but with tires slightly colder during race, it caught me of guard ... TO ADMINS: Is it possible to set the practice time to a later time of the day ? During race, we spent I think 70-80% of the time with track temp lower than during practice so which make it very difficult to know how the car will really behave during the race. Could we just practice at a evening time rather than a time where the track temp is at his maximum ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Internet connection: Oh and BTW, I finally got back my Internet connection  Not bad for a 1Mbps/384Kbps connection For one, I have to say I have quite a "good" experience with TM. It took them ~2 weeks to move my phone line (but "only" 1 week after I called them to give the information necessary to find the condo), and 1 week to hook up the Internet (supposedly with a wire issue hence the delay). That's by no way fast, but I was starting to fear for the worse and was thinking I would not get back my connection for months. And yesterday, I went to TM point to ask about my Internet, they said it was just done on that day. Came back to my house to see there was still no ADSL light on the modem. Called the technical assistance at 8pm and after their 5 min of basic troubleshooting, they gave me a report ticket and I was told to wait 2 working days. But this morning, "surprise", the adsl light was on and the connection up  And I don't know why I am not seeing TM in the speedtest, but the speed are very good. Eau rouge was definately a killer. on the final 2 laps before each pitting sessions, i needed to lift off the throttle to let my engine slowed down the rear tyres to get traction and stabilize my car coz it was definately as slippery as hell going full throttle with the tyre bars all going 'red' .about the low temp issue. well, i didnt have enough practice time here but from previous rounds i knew im going to have issue with it. so, with a lil help from bro azrink's setup (sharing is caring among P1 ), i took his suspension setup as example and did 'blind' adjustment on the tyre pressure by lowering it down quite drastically with ETA 5 minutes before the main race. did a few laps with the remaining time available during warm up session and made a conclusion of my own that the setup was enough . luckily it was a total pay off for me . the car was grippy enough on both day and night. |

Theres no race next week coz of public holiday. Next rack is Brands Hatch 4th December....version of the track will be decided soon.
Added on November 21, 2009, 7:14 pmI agree with the slipperiness of the track at nite. It was a total unknown to me too. I spun while leading during the sprints and i knew i had to be more careful on the throttle. My setup is very hard on the rear tyres coz i like the back to kick out at the exit. I clipped the curb into rivage and spun. I had to reduce the speed alot thru Eau Rouge. During the feature race, I stayed away from the curbs at the exit and it was a total focus and thank god nothing else interefere. The guys i lapped was a total pro....But guys, dont have to go off the track to let other cars to lap u, let us go when u can. good suggestion arnaud. What a race yesterday.... coz both race started from pitlane (due to penalty last race.. sad)
But eventually can drive the car consistently, smoothly, patiently, carefully and so many ly..... Luckily can finished both race with some tweaking setup from our PODIUMS... TQ. Hopefully can maintain and know better how the car behave...Congrats to MARA, PC N GG AND all the finishers..... GREAT RACE GUYS.... This Friday got race or not.... For me BALIK KAMPUNG |

next round is brands hatch right? i downloaded one of the versions available on rfactor central saying 'brandshatch GP'. i knew admins hve yet to decide but, since im a bit bored now i will use it as my test run process. really need to push hard now. for the 2nd time in a row i finished in 8th position n below. not to mention i have yet to finish top 3 in my category. hopefully can do that in the next round(s).
ps : the competition is fierce now, ill b lucky to get top 3 nowadays T_T. |

any laptime as reference? it's not a long track tho. hopefully my brain can memorize this without any 'lag' issue as i encountered in the previous rounds where i ended up braking too late or slammed hard on the brake where half throttle is enough T_T. |

Usually i would run on my own without looking at others laptimes first. As long as i think there is some aspect of the lap i can improve, wether its my driving or its the setup, I wont compare my lap with others. I analyse my cornering, apex, when i throttle in, start braking and finish braking and start accelerating for example. The reward is great. U can really call the lap as ur lap....on ur own setup. It is very satisfying. Then, u improve from there. But I reckon the Belmondoks and the Baraizi will be quick here. |

I've tried the track last night. Great track with long straight, slow and fast corner. The only problem I'm having with the track, if you ran of the track into the sand, your car is stuck in the sand.... then it is as good as over.
Am I the only one having this problem? |

Is there official rFactor documentation or game manual? I don't understand some of the illustration shown on the "LCD information" during race. For example, the screen which shows the wheels have lots of bars in pink and green colour. I have no precise idea what does it represent.
Which is tyre wear, which is suspension wear, which is tyre temperature? And the car layout has yellow/red boxes when damaged right? hi currently interested in trying out sim racing, i've been a big fan of gran turismo, but mostly played on PSP. tried shift and F1 2012. but i never had a real simulator experience.
I did some research on sim racing and there's so much title like: rfactor 1&2 Raceroom experience Simraceway Iracing project cars I mostly interested in hillclimb or sprint mode (1 way run instead of circuit) right now im trying to find a suitable race wheel for me to use. i thought on buying a used g25/g27 for around 400-500 as they have clutch pedal n shifter(so i feel like driving real car). question is which sim race software is good for me? based on a search they said iracing is the best |
