QUOTE(Archaven @ Apr 18 2011, 07:18 PM) If someone is that kind in helping me.. Also wouldn't that consider piracy? Hmm.. Anyway still undecided.. GoG or retail.. GoG or retail.. Grrrr... You can pre order from GoG right now and you'll straight away get the bonus content right now but nothing too special; a few artworks, wallpapers and avatars but when the game is released they will give you more exclusive content if you decide to buy from them. What i understand, they will not charge you anything yet, and you can decide whether to buy or not later. And i read if you buy from them you will support their sister company CD Projekt RED by preordering through GOG.com. That is the sentimental value, but i doubt most people will care about that. For me i think GoG deal is better than Steam because they have no DRM.

Still, Malaysia doesn't have any censorship issue right? This is why i love GOG, they will not easily succumb by corporate pressure. Their no DRM is already big bonus for me.

BIG NEWS FOR WHO LOVE QUALITY FREE STUFF! QUOTE 2011 has been a fantastic year for GOG.com, let's make it even better and make the last push to achieve the 6 million unique downloaded games milestone.
During our presentation at the CD Projekt Fall 2011 Conference we've shared some numbers that show how successful this year was for GOG.com, all that was possible thanks to you - our great community. One of the big milestones we'd like to celebrate with you is the 6 million unique downloaded games! Help us achieve this number and we'll launch a time-limited special offer for all GOG.com users!
Note that when we say "unique games downloaded," that means redownloading games that you have already downloaded before won't increment the counter.
When the counter on the main page of the website hits 6 million, two exciting things will hapen. First off, the lucky user who downloaded our 6 millionth unique game will receive everything that's currently in the catalog, abslutely free! Secondly, everyone who has an account on GOG.com will be able to download Broken Sword: Shadow of The Templars Director’s Cut for free, thanks to Sir Charles Cecil and Revolution Software. The offer will be valid only for 48 hours starting from hitting the milestone, so be sure to check GOG regularly or follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Let's get cracking to unlock this achievement as soon as possible - it's all in your hands now! http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/help_u...milestone/page1talexeh, am i gonna be the lucky 6 million user? Since i haven't started downloding my ARMA copy. Hahaha, the 6th million user must be very lucky. All games in the catalogue for free.. hahaha, no way i'm gonna be the very, very lucky person. In fact, i'm already sleepy at this time. The counter seems moving very slow.
based on my calculation, if that counter is believable.. it gonna take more than 1 week to reach that 6 million figures.

Amazing. Broken Sword is really fantastic piece of art. I recommend you to try the original version from 1996 than 2010 remastered edition. There are some scene that has been changed and deleted in 2010 edition. While the 1996 has it's own charm. But you must create new save folder and redirect the savepath in sword1.ini to your created save folder and run the game in administrator mode if you want to save your progress in 1996 original version.

One of many thing that i like from GoG is the community, it's very matured and helpful. Last week, 7 days before Witcher 2.0 release date there was a user who make give-away for Witcher 2 each day in that period. Each single day there will be 2 first place winners, the prize is copy of Witcher 2 from whichever digital download distributor from winner's choosing. And 2nd place is $12 worth of games from GoG for 4 different user. That mean, each day there will be 6 winners. And since i already own a copy of Witcher 2, i asked to be enrolled in 2nd place give-away. Yesterday, the last day of the give-away i'm one of 4 lucky persons for 2nd place. The person who make the give-away must be really generous. He spent around $900 just for the give-away. There are plenty of other giveaway and quiz at GoG too. But usually, i have no luck since mostly the there will be only 1 winner.

Again, i must praise the community on GoG. They're really generous. Just now there are one person willing to let go SpaceChem on Steam free for whoever grab it first, and i'm the lucky first person. Though, i have no idea about this game. I just lurking there but no one seems to reply to his post at that time. And then, the same person also make my wishlist on GoG Community Gifting Thread come true. Although the price doesn't seems that expensive compared to modern title game, but i really appreciate it. If you guys have GoG account, why not try lurking or post your game wishlist on their General Discussion forum if you have any interest on old games that offered there? Maybe you'll get something from there someday.

QUOTE(dis0rd3h @ Oct 28 2011, 08:20 PM) All of these seem nice. I am thinking of getting all the Gabriel Knights, Phantasmagorias and Sanitarium. Anyone gonna recommend me something nice? Or are my choices good enough? Semi-related note, why is it every time I try to load GOG's site, it seems broken? Like all the fonts turned Times New Roman and pictures don't display. Only after refreshing it like 5-10 times would it load properly... Those are fine choices. Probably among the best in current promo. And if you like 2D sprite FPS like Duke Nukem 3D or Blood, Realms of the Haunting might be your cup of tea.

If you gonna buy any Dosbox powered games like GK 1 & 2, Realms of the Haunting and Phantasmagoria, be prepared to tweak little bit of it .cfg if you suffer from stuttering sound etc. This is quite common problem in most of dosbox games since dosbox depend lots on CPU.

GOG.com Gifting Club (Steamgifts) is most fun. So many giveaways, only open to the member so the odd is not as crazy like public giveaway. Usually the entries ranged from 10 - 40, depend on the popularity of the game. Even some generous user offer 3 copies of Skyrim last weeks, but of course the entries were much higher than usual giveaway (80 ++ entries); it was Skyrim afterall. I only won once, and that was Duke Nukem DLC; only 3 peoples entered the giveaway at that time.
